- Hi everyone, in this Sims 4 base game build tutorial, I'll be showing you how to build custom kitchen counters, shelves and a dining table. No custom content or mods are required, only The Sims 4 base game.

What cheats do you use?
Press Ctrl + Shift + C to enter these four cheats (enter them separately):
bb.moveobjects
bb.showliveeditobjects
bb.showhiddenobjects
bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement
What does bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement do?
It unlocks career achievements items. In this video, I used the fridge.
Why do you delete the walls?
So the shelves do not snap to the wall when I'm trying to add handles to the cupboards.
How do you move items so they don't snap to the grids?
I hold the alt key on PC whilst I'm moving the items with my mouse and have bb.moveobjects enabled.
What camera do you use and how do you use it?

How do you rotate items on PC?

How do I prevent some items from flickering when overlapping them with bb.moveobjects?
I adjust them the slightest bit so they're not perfectly aligned. Unfortunately, some flickering cannot be avoided with certain items unless you use other mods; however, I do not use any.

I am sort of a new player and came across your tutorial videos accidently and I am amazed how much you can do in the Sims 4! This is so great! You put the camera in sims 3 mode, click on the object, and hold alt while you move your mouse!

Hello! I don't use any reshades. I've got the settings on high though
Do you use reference photos for your ideas and builds or do you just build as you go? You're builds are always amazing and I wanna be that good but I always get overwhelmed by bigger projects cause I'm horrible at laying out floor plans and filling spaces
Yup for some builds I use inspo from Pinterest or Instagram. Usually the exterior or one room then I build from there. It helps to come up with a theme sometimes when you're stuck. Try building individual rooms first then slowly combining if it feels overwhelming with a big build 😊
With floorplans I try to think hmm what makes sense in a real life home. How far am I willing to walk to the bathroom or kitchen 😆😆

You should try the better build and buy mod by TOOL. It makes it much easier to sort through the debug objects!

The retro looking ones? They're from eco lifestyle. Your Sims can make them or you can access them via cheats in the game.

Will the sims place their plates on all of the shelves that were place in the cabinet, when they are finished with food?
This will annoy me and I will always have hidden plates if so
No I don't think so. I think the sims doesn't use shelves when they are smaller or bigger.
