In this tutorial I show you how to make your own custom counters with just the base game and without any CC or mods. The only cheats needed are bb.moveobjects & bb.showhiddenobjects.

Yeah. I was about to comment this. What makes this sad is this game was intended to be an architectural game. The Sims were just added because they felt they needed people to live in the houses after you built them. Imagine if they had just gone the architect route, the game would have never seen the light of day.

I like when you do tutorials with base game because not everyone has all the packs like me! So it’s cool to see these tricks even in the base game! No excuses for ugly houses now lol

That tip for console players on height matching using a table since they can't get the red shelf...**chef's kiss**. Brilliant. I absolutely love all of these tips & tricks videos you've been posting. It's really inspiring to see what can be done when you look at the components we are given in a totally new way. You really need more subscribers.
You can use any shelf in the game to match the height of the counter, the famous red one is only special for having tons of slots. But I suppose if there's a table already at the right height it's simpler

Man this is clever, I’ve been dying for new counters! But ofc there were none in Eco lifestyle, it should be required that we get new counters in EPs. I’m tired of the constant bathroom sets. We have like 20 toilets but counters? Nahh.
Definitely agree with you. Kitchen stuff, especially counters, are lacking big time.
Also the loveseats! We never get full sets!
I know!! City living comes with 3 toilets and 5 bathroom items total that I can count BUT the only counter we get is a stinky remake of an already hideous counter!

Wow, no clipping. That’s amazing!
This isn’t really a cheat, but in al, my bathrooms I make the wall where the bath is entirely out of mirrors, bb.moveobjects and place the singular, tall wall mirrors with no frame on the wall, clipping together so they are seamless. It looks really cool, and it means your sim can use it too.
How has no one thought if this before? This is so smart!

All these packs and stuff and the kitchen colors are still limited! Forget going off the grid...I wish they'd release attractive and affordable furniture! My Sims work hard and want to come home to exciting furniture colors and patterns!

I totally agree! I would love if they just released stuff packs with clutter and such, would also be cool if bed frames & bedding were separate so you can mix and match =)

I deeply admire what you're doing and you think of a lot of things for us players like the console players and being able to add a matching kitchen island and working sink etc.
I do wonder how the other counters shown in the thumbnail are made though. Or did i miss something?
Thank you. they were made the exact same way as I made them in the video, they are just different cabinet and counter combinations exact same method =)Pick a cabinet pick a counter top and put them together ;)

Just wanted to point out that you can use any shelf to match the height of the counter, the big red one is only special for having tons of slots
Thank you. Game shelves are very limited in items that you can place on them, if the item won't go on the shelf you have to use something else, Many more items work on the red shelf than a regular shelf and this is what many builders use it for =)
@@Schnuck01 I've been using the basic shelf and so far had no issues. Maybe I'm not thinking big enough. Anyway, thought it's important console players know they can use regular shelves to place things at various heights.

@@limiv5272 I have another tutorial showing that a shelf can be used for some items: th-cam.com/video/NTuspZUaoQk/w-d-xo.html but again, there are only a handful of items that work on game shelves, for example, In this video I placed towels on the bathroom vanity, those won't work on a regular shelf - the red shelf is wonderful for placing items like this =)
