There will be a 6 hour time frame where our puppy will be left alone. Should I build a play pen with the OPEN crate within the playpen, or should I ENCLOSE the puppy in the crate for the whole 6 hours (having someone let him out half way through the day)
I was surprised by how much my Frenchie sleeps a day. I can get up at 7AM and spend a couple hours with her before leaving for work at 9AM and putting her in an open crate surrounded by a child's playpen. I come home around 3PM and then get to spend the rest of the day with her. I was wondering what she got up to when I left so I just took one of our outdoor WiFi security cameras and pointed it at the crate for a week and just found her sleeping about ten minutes after I left right to when she heard the door open on my way back. I wouldn't be surprised if non-working breeds spend 15-16 hours a day or more asleep lol.
I recently adopted a 2 year old frenchie. He has social anxiety as previous owners got him during lockdown, moreover he madly pulls leash . Please help
Great video! :) Me and my husband are planning on getting a frenchie puppy. I know that they are dogs that love to be around their humans as much as possible. We can manage that at least one of us is always home on 5 to 6 days a week. But there are 1 or sometimes 2 days where the little french frie would be home alone for like 4 to 6 hours. Is this too much time alone for a frenchie per week? I want to make sure the potatoe will be happy :D
The easiest way is to create separation already while they are a puppy. Leaving them alone in the crate 2/3 hours periodically per day plus overnight while they sleep. If you are consistent with this then they will eventually get used to being alone. Also do not allow them to sleep in bed with you during the first 6 months.
Hai we are planning to buy a puppy. I would like to know whether they will stay alone for 8-10 hours if they are having a company of another dog. We are having a chihuahua
Frenchie puppies are very very active..I leave mine in my room for 30 min and he tears up the room if you leave something out ...bites and jumps on my other dog..I use a water gun as discipline and he knows ..getting better..he's only 4 Mos..my other frenchie mix was a breeze to train
And then there are dogs like my one... Who couldn't be alone for 10 seconds after months. I have him for 5 months now and he pee for protest when I close the toilet door. I couldn't train him. I just can't. Everything I do is gone after 5 minutes. I don't know why.
I can't leave my apartment without my dog. Never. He's not my first one, he's my FIFTH dog but I could not train him properly because he has the attention span of a squirrel and barks even if I go to the next room.
Yes, you can, but you have to accustome your Frenchie to being alone for a time step by step. But not leave them alone a whole day and don't leave them starving.
The little punk came with an extra large crate and he thinks he’s supposed to pre in it. So I bought pads and he pees the pads. But he will shred pads over night I found this am. I’ll be patient but can use advice. Good submission from pup. Just needs to graduate somehow from peeing in the cage. I don’t want to buy a small crate cause I think he will probably pee on himself.
You have to take him out like 1-2am ..don't fully wake him up ..just take him out ans he will pee ..there will be accidents until they can hold it longer ..I have a 4 Mos old and it's a hit or miss..I stop water after 930
I wouldnt recommended anyonr getting a dog if they dont work from home These dogs need constant attention and they love to play ..they do sleep but not for mor3 than 3 hours at a time .i have mine on a schedule ..get up at 6am ..go for walk ..eat at 7 ..sleep by 9 ...gets up at 11 ..gets little food ..plays ...sleep at 1...get after 2 hours ..go for walk and play ...eat a little ...playyyyy..then another walk ...then eat dinner 730 ...play until 9 then walk ...then sleep by 10PM ...i work from home and its a fulltime jobbbb
Hello. You are giving general information not specific to the breed. I hope you are happy with the traffic you drive to your youtube channel. The information in your video offers nothing specific to the French Bulldog, a breed that has well-known separation anxiety tendencies. I needed more specificity to help me decide if a French Bulldog is right for me. You shouldn't say your video is about Frenchies when it is not. Click Bait. SMH.
