    Love that you include drills with your tutorials, thats something i dont see the other roller skate youtubers doing. Drills are something that help me perfect my moves. Thanks for the video marylin!

    Thank you! I'm going to use this to get brave. I've been scared to try crossovers but you broke it down in a way that seems doable. Hopefully I can woman up! 🤣

    If you're having trouble doing one side but not the other, practice balancing on one foot for a little while before doing it again. Could not for the life of me figure out why I couldn't cross over to the right but the left was so easy for me

    I grew up going to the skating rink. Well, now I'm 28, have three kids and an extra 40lbs to shed. Now we have our skates our excitement and no direction, so I of course turned to TH-cam. 😏
    I really enjoyed this tutorial, I subscribed and I can't wait to learn more! I really think I found a gem here. Thank you.

    Yesterday I went to the skate park, which is just a janky skating rink. That’s where I go to get cardio, and build speed. I usually corner by just leaning into the turn, but I decided to bust out the crossovers, which I can do reasonably well in my small space at slow speed, one at a time. So at the park I was going fast and my crossovers were feeble at best and on the fifth one something went horribly wrong and I landed on my ass. So that found me here looking for help. This is a great video and I LOVE YOUR DRILLS! They really are brilliant! I’m gonna do them over and over and over again until I feel ready for doing crossovers at the rink. I’m so glad you started your TH-cam channel because you really are the best coach on the net 😍

Keep up the good work and excellent tutorials! You should have at least 100,000 subscribers and I will let anyone know about your channel that needs help! @@MarilynTantrum it has been almost a year and my crossovers have improved dramatically! I go to the rink with my daughter and love how fast crossovers can get me around the track! One little tip I want to put out there (in case any new skaters read this) do not be afraid to lean into it! Your tips helped me soooo much and I thank you!!

    I wish my garage had no cracks in the cement. They put these huge cracks in our garage when they laid it out. Worse than the side walk. But I'll give the drills a go when I go to the park

    Thanks Marilyn! When you're doing the pumping with one foot where is your body weight supposed to be? I'm struggling to get it to work for me. I can do bubbles going forwards and back but as soon as I try just using one foot I get stuck.

    • @MarilynTantrum
      @MarilynTantrum  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trick is to do it with some pace. 90% of weight in on the inside leg - it takes a little time to get. Try a bigger circle.
