  • The T-rex 50m³ at Ngong Market is up and running, managing over 1.5 tons of market waste daily with 0 waste going to the dumpsite.
The gas is used for cooking by hotel owners and traders within the market and the fertiliser sold to farmers bringing their farm produce to the market.

Great task to the environmental protection. End product is fuel, fertilizer, electricity.... list is endless. Keep it up 👌

With that biogas what needs to be done is have stalls fitted with stoves whereby the traders can start cooking food. This would alleviate hunger in the country. The food would be sold at a pocket friendly to the people since they are using free gas and all the produce they need for cooking is right there at their stalls. Almost akin to Asian street food markets where almost every market has a cooking stall where traders sell their food and cook it at the same time. They call them street food. Kenya can have their own street foods following the same model.

I live in the U.S. in a very rural area. This would be ideal for me. I own about ten acres of forested property and I do massive amounts of weed and brush cutting every year just to keep the road open and the grass cut. I'm assuming that I could make methane from that.

Yes, you can definitely make methane from organic material like weeds and brush. It's great to hear that you're interested in implementing this technology on your property. This system can help you convert organic waste into a useful resource while reducing the environmental impact of waste disposal. It's also a great way to generate renewable energy and reduce your reliance on fossil fuels.
