  • Kajiado County is committed to achieving a zero-waste goal by implementing a circular economy model that transforms waste into valuable resources.
    Our approach in managing this municipal waste in involves;
    - Utilizing organic waste for biogas, fertilizer and compost production
    - Plastic and glass waste are crushed and repurposed into interlocking building blocks.
    - Any waste that cannot be recycled or recovered is incinerated
    This is effectively converting commercial waste into energy systems.
    Through this collaboration, the county is able to leverage on our Biogas expertise and technology to effectively manage waste and generate renewable energy.
    By adopting this circular economy model, Kajiado County is not only reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills but also creating economic opportunities through the production of biogas and building blocks.
    This innovative approach to waste management is a testament to the county's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

    This is very clever. Other African countries should follow suit to stop felling trees for firewood. Well done guys!👍🏽💕

      Absolutely..if every town can manage their own waste, dumpsites would die a natural death because there will be no waste going in.

      Not at all, in fact it comes in big drums and all of it breaks down inside the digester.

    So how do you use the gas at that facility. Who is the end user of the gas? Also what is the source of energy to power the insenirator . Do you use gas to burn the un recyclables?

    • @FlexiBiogas
      @FlexiBiogas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We've set up communal kitchens where traders and hotel owners come and cook cheaply.
      We are also value adding to the gas by drying fruits and vegetables from the market.
      The gas powers the incenerator that burns the un-recyclables, then we recover the heat which is pumped underneath the digester in a hot water system to boost gas production.

      It's realy a lot. In conventional biogas technologies, in order to produce the same volume of gas, the biogas plant will be as huge as the market itself.
