Goo-goo gah-gah Translation : Until last episode it’s been a KYLE since I’ve commented . This episode was one of the first I ever caught on tv and it always puts a KYLE on my face . Also the fuck is happening to my dad?? Hope he’s ok….. KYLE
re: the upcoming critters episode, hopefully you guys manage to get one of the VAs in that episode along for the ride, if only for the reaction to that “ROBERT COSTANZO AS DETECTIVE BULLOCK” thing
I think the simple solution for both your "On her Majesty's Secret Service" dilemma is simple: It's just your guys' opinions and if you don't like it that's okay. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and those are simply your own. There is nothing wrong with liking something and there is nothing wrong with not liking something. Everyone's opinion on media is valid and we need to learn to respect each other's opinions and individuality. At the end of the day everyone has different taste and that's ok. If people can have a different skin tone, different sexuality, and different political stance. Why not have people have different taste and preferences? There's no need to make a big deal out of someone liking something you don't like. It's something that's called "being tolerant". remember the motto: I disagree, but I respect your opinion. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk and Stay yoppie :)
Critters or “Batman V Livestock: Dawn of Vegetarianism” or “Giant Bugs Give 0 Fucks” or “If This Isn’t The Episode That Makes Brian Rage-Quit The Podcast, Then I Don’t Know What Will” [laughs maniacally] Ohhhh, I have been waiting for this one. Of all the episodes of TNBA that are on the docket, THIS is one I have been looking forward to and not for the right reasons either. Friends, I’m not gonna mince words here. This episode is dumb, and I mean *DUMB*, dumber than a box of hair. And yet, as Farmer Brown would say, “I had myself a good ol’ time with this’n.” The word ‘ridiculous’ doesn’t even cover it. Giant bugs, freakish buzzards, Robin’s bad puns? A literal giant bull runs into a china shop, for Christ’s sake. They knew what they were doing. And don’t even get me started on the talking goat…. Looking at the backdrop of Farmer Brown’s farm, I was like “So, I guess they live in Andy’s room from ‘Toy Story’.” It would’ve been funny if the fake money they got was the same fake money Joker had in ‘Joker’s Millions’. Also apparently the giant mantises operate under T-Rex from Jurassic Park logic where if you don’t move, it won’t see you. ….sure, why not. I know I say a lot that I’m curious about which episodes Brian will end up liking or disliking, but this is one that I will be DYING to know his reaction to. I mean, Bullock gets a ton of screen time in this one, so he’s gotta like it for THAT at least. I’m probably going to get a lot of flak for this, but after having just rewatched it for the first time in a while, this is going on my top 5 list for TNBA. It knows exactly what kind of episode it is and had a lot of fun with its premise. It’s stupid but it’s MY kind of stupid. Boss Biggus bear hugs to the number one podcast hosts in this here Multiverse of ours: Julia Roberts and Bullshit (get it cause dere’s a big bull in dis episode ha ha I’m always so good at these). Praise to our lord and savior Dylan Pollack (keep up the great work on your own podcast and remember to tell Gab that she rules)! Likewise of course to all of his loyal disciples: Skarloey1, Batgirl Fangirl, Scotty Cameron, WENCY209, TipTapricot, Keen Machine, Jordan Newman, Zane Beatty, Kris Knife, LaNolaCola, Juan Pedro, Ashley Tuchin, Scrudge, the Banana family, Hex Lex, Eric LeBeau, the Banana Man-Bat, Austin Trousers, Slacks Payne, Ryan Hipp, Peter Pantaloons, Nick Sorenson, Kyle the Kyle, and of course ALL the awesome-sauce listeners of this yoppie community of ours. You all are the absolute best, don’t you ever forget that. Gibbity, gibbity, glug. Batman fought a big bug. This story was brainless, and yet quite painless. If you read this, you deserve a hug. ‘Til next week, SMOKE BOMB 💣 💨💨💨 that’ll be blown out by a BIG OL’ WHOOSH! (that’s cuz i just flew away bb 💋)
Howdy, Jimmy Olsen (the photographer) and Brain (The robot husband, not the white mouse.) and also Matty, I assume. It’s time for the one and only CRITTERS!!! (Or Yoked Cows will be the Death of Us All.) This is widely considered the worst but I had fun this time. I wake up happy every morning knowing that bus-sized praying Mantises can’t get to me (because I’m not an Aussie). I can’t wait to see if the fine voices of Big Bus notice before the mail time segment, that Bullock is the first one to interact with the talking goat. Strange that the goat never says anything about a hydra’s back. Anyway, hang in there Brethren Broderick, the rest of TNBA should be fine. No promises. And let’s hope little A-A-Ron keeps all on schedule till next week. Peace.
After everything she just had to go through in Gotham I'm sure the last thing Cassidy would have needed would have been to be visiting the Metropolis yacht club right now. While I didn't see her at the beginning of the episode I swear that guy wanting to get in with his date looked like the Prince of Pickles himself. Not as easy anymore without your ketchup gun is it, CONDIMENT KING!?
"Critters" is one of the two episodes of TNBA I saw back when it was airing. (I'll skip the rant about how WB wasn't on my cable package, and how I didn't see 90% of STAS or TNBA until the dvds, because they didn't get carried on YTV in Canada like literally every other DCAU show) It's one that always stuck with me. I had clear memories of the blue sky interior of Farmer Brown's hideout for years before I remembered what they were from!

Finally caught up again three months after I caught up the first time. Happy to report that I'm not sick right now, though I did get vaccinated yesterday so I've been dealing with side effects from that. Unfortunate that I missed the Growing Pains episode, that one always gets me. Keep up the great work and I'll try not to fall off the Bat-Wagon again.
Regarding "critters", this episode is so stupid, I love it. It has the same energy and eccentric weirdness as a realy old timey batman comic. And Farmer Brown is a very 50s name for a Batman villain. As a comparison, the secret identity of red hood in his first appearence in 1951 was "Hillbilly Benson", so you see what I mean. Also, we cut from Farmer Brown using the elevator and revealing his truman show wallpaper directly into an extreme closeup of daughter's ass? Dan, you little rascal! It's impressive just how much these folks could "sneak past" the kids wb censors
Is it possible that Brian knows about Solomon Grundy because of "Superman's Song" by the Crash Test Dummies? That was my first exposure to the character

Please everyone collectively comment that "Critters" is your favorite episode and that you would be deeply offended if Brian doesn't like it.
I'm really liking the new style for the thumbnails.

A comment for engagement.

DCAU in the STAS/TNBA era is two for two on redheads who are hotter than Firefly
Isn’t I Can’t believe it’s not butter just margarine?
You shoud add some scenes from the episode, so it would be more interactive
