Hi mate i did exactly the same on my 320d 2010n47 changed the coolant temp sensor did a diagnostic and it came up 3ee0 code on it and the temp sensor its brand new now if i put the connector on the fan doesnt do anything and the engine heats up , if i disconnect the connector its on all the time . any suggestion thank you . and also can you make a video of the electric auxiliary heater on that car i keep looking and cant find the fucker anywhere . thank you
Did the overheating appear straight away when engine was cold my one dose after few minutes riches 100 or over did change termostat work for a while same again
Did you have a lost of power too ? While with this problem

Sorry mate not sure I would checked both sensors there is two and the thermostat make sure is all working properly!

Yeah it was defo an issue with that sensor change the coolant sensor and you’ll be good 😊

How hard it’s it to access that sensor? Just under the cover?

Mine shows +59° all the time
Could be thermostat switch or EGR cooler
