I, an American citizen, would accept a fellow citizen and prefer to educate rather than reject. If we do not know the first thing about history, how are we going to prevent ourselves from allowing it to repeat? There is an abundance of evil in this world who jump at the chance to take advantage of those who do not know their history. People may think history is one class they will never use in society in the future. That idea is beyond ignorant. In fact, I would go so far as to say that having a firm grasp of history exceeds the importance of scientific and mathematical knowledge. Those who have little knowledge of history are easily controlled by those who would manipulate history to serve their own agendas.
