- In today's video I went thrifting & picking for an upcoming event that I'll be a vendor at: Antique Acres! If you've been following my channel for a while, then you will remember from last year I brought you along for this entire event. I can't wait to show you what items I found today and give you a vision of what I plan on doing with them!
I can't wait to hear what you all think of my finds!! This is just the beginning of what you will find at this amazing event! I'm going to start working on the furniture pieces that I'll have in my booth and then add all the smalls! Keep following along as I get ready for this event which is held May 19th & 20th.

That little chair with heart would be cute with a round of leather adhered with small brad tacks.

That little turquoise chair is super cute, great riser for a plant.
I love those tea pots and other matching pieces. I would definitely say that was probably a vintage cookie cutter. The little chairs would be cute with little potted plants. The one with the heart, you could fill in the heart with putty and cover it with a mold.

That little wagon is awesome, be perfect "flowers for sale" sign on it would be perfect, if I bought it i'd use it with pots of flowers in it on my patio! That Norstrom coat was such a great find!!!
I believe the Pottery Barn stars were used to hold a quilt on a wall. They should tighten up.
That salt/pepper shaker would be perfect for dusting the clay moulds with corn starch since there is only one. This was an EPIC haul. I want to dig into it with you and start upcycling. Just every single item was a great piece. Congrats on this haul. I love it

Favorite is the fan but also the grater. That is a super old one, you can tell by the handle. Great job.

I can not tell you the number of times I have gone to the bins and put stuff in my cart to look at later and weed through. But it never fails I end up with the stuff when I get home. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm like dang... well I own it now. 🤣🤣🤣

I put a picture of my dad in a heart chair for my mom! He passed in 2008. It’s has different family members on it. It’s like a memory thing
The piece of white wood with the star ,I have them there should been 3 of them to hang a quilt off of them. I always love to see what you find.

Oh my gosh Sonnet, my brother (who passed away a couple of years ago) made one of those fish cutting boards for my mom in high school shop class! Bittersweet. I’m watching to see what you do with yours. Also loved all the little chairs and the owl.
You found great things at the bins I don't find much at the bins I've been to. I used to make little chairs out of willow branches and do dried flower arrangements on the seats sold so many of them. I've filled heart cut outs with spackle, tape one side and fill works great.
The little chairs. If you haven’t done anything with them? Little clay flower pots. Painted and transfers. Bugs or flowers. Would be a cute collection.
Totally get your love of thrifting! I get stuff & tell my husband I can do “something something” with it ! Lol 😂
You could totally put a mould design on the heart to cover it. Put a thin layer of wood down and then cover with mould...it will be cute, the other chairs perhaps a candle would look cute.

IMPRESSIVE HAUL!!! My favorites were the vintage flash cards, pieces/side of crate, whale & fish “cutting boards”, old Bible with the receipt & basket “purse” with handles!!! Love all the stock for fall & Christmas, especially the red sled & bundt pans!!! Also, that airplane book is so sweet & I hope your nephew loves it!!! Sylvia would LOVE that pig!!! I am so EXCITED about ANTIQUE ACRES!!! I love seeing your creative process unfold, all the planning, flips, vignettes & then to see it all come together!!! This is probably my favorite event you do…love what you did last year and I know you’ll CRUSH IT again this year!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I have been considering getting a booth somewhere, I love being creative but am a private person s, so I could never do you tube … but thrifting is literally my favorite thing to do though I don’t go often do to moving and there’s not a lot around that I have found so far. But do to a lot of health issues I have no control over , I thought if I could take my shopping therapy to a different level 😊 I might just give it a try. I wanted a shop but thinking to start with I might do a booth. Thanks for be so inspiring 😊

What a super amazing thrift haul, I wish the bins here in Minnesota were as great for the hard goods. 90% of the outlet bins hold clothing, which isn't my thing. Thanks for sharing your thrift treasures, can't wait to see the flips!

That is exactly what I need...thrifting therapy. 🥺 Since I had COVID for the 2nd time in November I just haven't had the energy. And what energy I had goes to Dr visits for my husband and I and our aging parents. Now my husband is facing 2 surgeries. We are using my car for all trips into town since diesel is high. I haven't been to the Bins in months. I haven't been thrifting period in months.
😂 I need to thrift! My hubby just isn't into it. I know if he would come once he would love it. Thank you for letting me vent 🌼
I think the pottery barn star items are meant to hang on the wall to hold a quilt. You’d need two, one for each corner of a quilt.
Those flash cards take me back a few years!😂😂😂😂😂 Our bins have nothing like what you brought home. The same people are always there, digging through every thing (not books), with heaping carts. I don’t know where they sell it.

I’m in Maine, I know the difference ugh that wet snow is so heavy to shovel! And if it gets too high the snow blower clogs up.🤦🏻♀️ I feel your pain! Be safe it can be slippery too.

You got a lot of good stuff. I was going to recommend on that old clock that you check out Krafty Kathy. She creates some really cool scenes in old clocks that no longer work. I thought you might like them.
I like that idea about the heart chair with the leather and the breads but you can also cast a clay shape and put it over the heart so it’s not showing. Maybe a big flower or something of that sort
For the chair with the heart cutout, get some Durham's rock hard water putty. Mix it up, fill the hole and sand smooth. Works great. You can paint right over it. If it isn't quite perfect, disguise with a stamp, transfer, etc.

One more thing, I think all the little chairs could be used for air plants, plants or greenery…I am thinking of a sun porch or patio vibe with them, I think you could really create a fun & unique vignette with them!!!
From Minnesota and I get the snow differences. We also had a heavy wet snow with more expected over the weekend. It just doesn’t end this winter.

I've seen Yvonne at @GingerChickRehab actually use some kind of wood filler to fill in the heart. It's been a while since I watched that video.
You have the best bins! Ours are nothing but junk and broken stuff you are lucky to find anything good and most of the times you think it's good but then find where broken ir chipped I have more luck at the school or churches thrift stores

The little chair is called an Adirondack chair. Pronounced like Add-er-ON-dack with the accent on ON. Only thought I'd mention it because I live in the Adirondack region.

Where is your location? I’m in Iowa and I’ve looked up Antique Acres but only one comes up and it’s only about 25 miles away from me. Absolutely LOVE the tea pot! I’d buy it as is. Love the patina.
