Thank you for teaching me how to make a very professional looking stocking! I have been sewing for more than 45 years, along with quilting, but had never made one like this. Now, I am making them for my adult kids, as well as the grandkids. Again, many thanks-you are a great teacher!
I am SO happy I found your video! I lost the directions I used when making a stocking for my grand son (8 yrs. ago!) and just could not figure out the cuff for my granddaughter's stocking. Your video is excellent. Your calm, soothing voice and clearly stated instructions were just what I needed - 4 days before Christmas! The placement directions were especially helpful. I am glad to subscribe to your channel!
Sew helpful. Thank you. After picking out my stitches 3 times because my embroidered name on cuff appeared to be inside out, I discovered this video at 4am last night. Your picture of embroidered name placement on cuff material was the hint I needed. Success today thanks to your excellent video. New subscriber now. Will download your stocking pattern and search your channel for more helpful nuggets. Thanks again.
You are so fun to watch. My family has been looking for homemade stockings for some time (because they are larger!). This looks like so much fun and you are very clear on your instructions. I look forward to getting those made this week. Thank you for sharing your talents!
I really enjoyed your tutorial. It looks like you have a lot of fun with your fabrics and that sewing is near and dear to your heart at such a young age❣️I have 3 girls myself and they all sew quite well. I’m now in my elder years (AND RETIRED) and still love to sew lots of things. It’s so satisfying to me to see all you millennials coming up with very cool ideas and keeping the art alive. Much luck with your future videos and I will be watching for more of yours!❤️
This is by far the best video I've seen for stockings as you include a lining as well as the embroidery with the fold over cuff. I couldn't find instructions like this very easily, so thanks again for this great video and glad to see you are a Husqvarna Viking user too!
this was great. I couldnt beleive it took me long to get the pattern but once I got it, it worked well. I most apreciate the emboridery lesson. Thank you so much. I must make several for a show. Thank you again
I'm making a Christmas stocking for my new granddaughter - Abigail! How appropriate that I came across your instructions! I couldn't remember what order to layer each piece at the final sewing and you answered my question. Thanks!
Thank you!! You gave me my sanity back lol. I had my old templates I made from a McCall pattern back in 2002 but lost the actual directions. Trying to remember that far back has me stressing out. Thank you for jogging my memory so I could finish this stocking!
Thanks - I have drafted my own pattern but couldn’t work out how to do the ‘final step’ to ensure that all of the lining/cuff/outer/hanging loops were correct! Now I can as your video Irma great! Thank you
I was wondering what is your process for getting your machine embroidered name centered ? I really like your tutorial but struggling with getting the name centered.
Did you cut out your cuff first or just wait to cut it after you embroidered it? I have a 8x8 frame and wondering if I should wait to cut out my cuff after running through my embroidery machine
Mine fit inside my frame so I had mine cut at the final size and just made sure to centre it where I expected the design to appear. But it could be easier to embroider it first then trim to size - how did your stockings turn out? Sorry I didn't log into TH-cam over Christmas. :)

Hi! Where do you get your fabric? Recommendations?

Great pattern and technique thank you
Thank you, Deborah!
Hi. It’s Dec 13 2024. Perfect!
I couldn’t figure out the orientation of the cuff with embroidered name. So THANK YOU!
I'm so glad you got it figured out! Happy to help! 💜
Could I use muslin for the inside fabric?
I don't see why not! :)
Could you please tell me what machine you used to make the embroidered name?
Hi! Sorry for the delayed response. I'm using a pretty old machine, the Singer Futura CE-200!
Good video--but I couldn't download the pattern. Can you help!
