The first time I met my mother in law was at Christmas, and she had a stocking already made for me. For 26 years I have hung up that stocking. She has made many many more for the family (children, grandchildren, new spouses, and even girl/boyfriends) We lost her this June and I inherited her craft stash. I found her patterns, but not I instructions on how to assemble them. I need to make my son's fiancee a stocking and between her and your wonderful video I think I can. Thank you so much for putting this out I to the world to help. xoxo -Angela
thank you for getting straight to the tutorial and not telling insufferable stories or pushing collabs first, I'm about to make my family's set now using this video
I've watched many videos on how to make a lined stocking and this is by far the easiest, no-fuss instruction video to follow. Note, the quality of the finished product is quite nice. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the easy to follow instructions for my Christmas stocking! I was a little nervous to start but as I went along following your instructions , it turned out GREAT!! Thanks for sharing!
I'm loving the simplicity of this project. I cannot, however, figure out how to attach the cuff when the fabric I use for the cuff has a one way pattern to it ...(It has the vintage truck with the Christmas tree). I've tried four times, using my seam ripper after each attempt because the truck ALWAYS comes out upside down when I turn the cuff down. Can you help me out?
What size is this stocking? I made my family matching Christmas stockings a few years back, but we’ve added a baby and I don’t have the pattern I used for the others. I’m definitely an amateur and not feeling 100% confident to try it without a pattern. These looks almost identical to the ones I made so I’m wondering if they’re roughly the same size or not.
So I decided instead of buying stockings I wanted to make them this year for my party with friends. I made a prototype of it and came upon a few problems. My cuff fits perfect outside, but as soon as its in, I end up having to fold it to sew it so its even and so then the top isnt even. What did I do wrong?

Does your printed pattern include the added seam allowance or do we need to add it?
You need to add it when you cut.
It’s on the directions at www.homemadeonourhomestead.com
Thank you
👍
You’re very welcome
Thank you for the video. I didn't see you sew the liner to the exterior stocking, is that not necessary?
Using your free pattern, what is the finished size? Thanks you!
What fabric is best for stocking and liner ?
About how much of each fabric would I need to make four stockings?

Congrats on your baby.
How much outer fabric do you need? 1/2 yard or 1/4 yard?
I am very new at sewing and want to give this a try. Can you tell me how much fabric is needed for this project?

Hi I just printed this off and the pieces do not match up.
Why not sew the lining and outer together?
I had the same thought
You can do that too if you’d like. This pattern wasn’t designed like that. But if that’s what you prefer
Thank you ❤
