dont forget the PS4 contributes a lot to give that neutral non understeer handling, with that tyre even last gen altis handles quite well. also while people complain about that cvt, it actually delivers if you asked for it with minimum drama and i believe is the right transmission choice for all who dont race and/or heavy tune their car
Just bought this car a month ago and all I can say is the handling of this car is top notch!!I have driven a lot of cars already but the civic is just on another level. Suspension and comfort is great! Power is more than enough.

The most awaited review.Just ordered V spec.Compared to all 3 variants I feel V spec is the best value,it is the only one with full leather.I dont like the half leather on the RS seen a few catches dirt easy.If money no issue of cause can go for RS.For me V best value.
Feel the same but V spec also Should’ve given black roof liner. And most saddest part is In Malaysia even the highest RS Spec doesn’t come full digital meter.. let’s see in face lift models in coming years.
Honda brakes mmg very good. Tested Civic FC and Accord last year. Accord when I applied some brake, it's quite grabby like Mercedes. Hard brake mmg makan. Honda definitely has its flaws but in terms of braking performance, I feel it's excellent.

I think the E variant does come with the Sport mode. It's on the Gear stick (R,P,N,D,S) instead on the driving mode selector. The V & RS only have R,P,N & D without the S (sport) on the gear stick.

Am I the only one who thinks the road conditions in Malaysia are really bad now? Towns, highways, city roads are patched here and patched there, Rough road, faded guide lines, lubang here & more lubang there... Before i enjoy driving around but now, i feel sorry to my car =(

@@TyroneSong Good choices. For poor Msian roads, Arteon, Camry and Civic are very suitable cars to handle the rotten roads and bumps, whatever you call. All these cars are very pliant and plush (not so sure of Civic). Go for any of them.

@Seng Wei Ti supposingly from what I know is they fine tuned your EPS according to the 17" size. So if retrofit a 18" to it you might not get the optimal ride and handling as for tuned for the 18". However, you may still replace your original 17" tyre with the PS4. The size for your 17" would be 215/50R17 (if I'm not mistaken). So you may just replace PS4 with the same size just like I did. ;) Hope it clarifies for you. ^^

Im a civic FE (E) owner. To be honest, im ok with the lack of this and tht for this variant because im paying rm20k less (rm126k) for the E as opposed to the RS. Buttt its awesome that this spec has the honda sensing too. In term of appearance, it's hard to differentiate between an E, V or RS, but u can spot them based on the rims. Frankly speaking, dont buy E if u have kids because the fabric is really cheap. I changed to PU leather after a month of using the car because i was an owner of the X70 (before changing to the civic), so i feel kinda "poor" when im inside a cabin of fabric seat 🤣🤣. Overall, this civic is hands down awesome n im happy to have purchased it.
I have not but on paper I would say it has good potential. Get the manual if you want to have more fun. The FL chassis is better than the FC, so overall handling should be good. The manual transmission removes the CVT issues, and that already makes the car better.

Probably a stupid question, but need to know as I am in the middle of getting this RS or Mazda CX-5 2.5 Turbo( I want RS, wife wants Cx5 due to height ease of climbing in and out) forget the class difference. Power and handling which is better?
The Civic is probably mor fun, but the CX5 Turbo is a very nice family vehicle. My advice to you is buy the CX5. Then you get to sleep on the bed. Otherwise your dog will have to make space for you. Happy wife, happy life.

@Charles de Gaulle It is not about jealousy. To be honest, heard that civic fe owners have faced quality issues. As a Honda onwer, I agreed with honda owners who faced quality issues but problems cannot end, just like my HRV 2019 onwer
The Civic appears to have better power to weight ratio, and feels more perky, but both will arrive at almost the same time. Of course one is the bigger car, and costs 50k more.
The numbers speak for themselves. The Civic is a good all rounder with a decent size and decent power. The GYi, if that is waht you mean, costs a lot more, but also has more power, and has a DSG.

14:08 . The brakes work! Seems a well balanced car, given hard braking while turning at speed. Can’t stand d cvt whine tho.
The cvt sound is not apparent when driving normally, and even on the mountain, but the mic seems to pick it up. The human ear is not as sensitive.

If you don't drive to the limit, you probably wouldn't know the difference. If you can, then change to 18 inch, and fit Michelin PS4, kautim.

FC looks better than FE. FE front like Audi, Rear tailights like Hyundai and interior also not nice, to be honest.

The Civic appears to have better power to weight ratio, and feels more perky, but both will arrive at almost the same time. Of course one is the bigger car, and costs 50k more.

How would you compare this car's handling to it's German Rivals? Both performance and comfortability wise.
The numbers speak for themselves. The Civic is a good all rounder with a decent size and decent power. The GYi, if that is waht you mean, costs a lot more, but also has more power, and has a DSG.
