Its probably a given that ASMR videos should have the volume up. That's on you.

I just discovered wood carving is one of my ASMR triggers. This was great! Thanks!

The most important thing that you liked it! You took a chisel and round is all that is necessary in this case. The most rewarding wood - resinous pine where there is a clear division of the annual rings. You just need imagination to play with shapes and volume. Very spectacular images vegetable, fish and just fantasy abstraction. Thank you for an hour of relaxation joinery. Workaholic! Thank you.

wow, I didnt know these sounds were called ASMR, I knew about them but had no name, I always refer to them as satisfying sounds, any way, have to say some nice things to this guy: Thanks man, you cant believe what this video did to me in 31 minutes and 25 seconds, have no words and no time to tell more; think every kind of video would have had same impact, just happen to find yours and energized me that in 30 min. AMAZING DUDE, AMAZING

Check out Mary May, she has a lot of great videos on carving. Given what you churn out using those tools I would be REALLY interested in seeing what you could do with "proper" carving chisels! Also, thanks for not speeding the video up! Awesome work!

    Very Nice Dieter.
As you can see from my avatar- I whittle when on the go and carve when at home.
Have only used the torch for some tikis I have carved. Will revisit it now for some of my owl and eagle work. Also I do appreciate the ASMR aspect of woodworking- not something that everyone gets though. Well done- I subscribed.

What do you use the wood shavings for? As an owner of horses, I automatically thought that the shavings would be great to use in the stalls as bedding. It could work for pet hamsters and guinea pigs too. Do you recycle it in any way? You should sell it to pet owners who’d love to use it as bedding! :)

I used this method of finishing on a table top, I think it’s very cool and works well on fast grown softwoods, adding a coloured stain after scraping the charred bits of can add another dimension to the finished product. It’s a lovely bowl, and would be a perfect gift or product for sale. I have just been given some radiata pine out of the local graveyard by the tree surgeon and have just started a bowl using that but it was a pig to split and quite dense although I do get the opportunity to let off steam by going at it with axe and adze. That spruce looked quite light in comparison. I think I will be using this finish to decorate, it seems like a good way to mitigate tooling marks, although I sometimes try and enhance the tooling marks to incorporate them into the finished product as a feature. Nice work and thanks for the inspiration.
