Been a drummer for 47 years...No one, and I mean NO ONE comes close to the talent and poise of The Professor. RIP Brother...

Musicians use a metronome, metronomes use Neil Peart. 😊🇨🇦

Although Peart took a technical approach to drumming, I also think he had an organic and distinctive sound.

@@luiszuluaga6575 I agree no other drummer sounded quite like him or could replicate their studio sound as closely as Neil. 😊

I have been lucky enough to sit in on a couple of their sound checks on concert day. The man was a monster on the kit! Not just a drummer, but a master percussionist. RIP Neil.

Neil was a genius. Maybe the greatest Rock'n Roll drummer ever. Rush pulled a Zeppelin when they called it quits after he pass. Cannot replace a drummer like him or John Bonham

Rush stopped touring in 2015 because Neil had issues with tendonitis and a bad shoulder. They officially retired in 2018. Neil's cancer diagnosis was in 2016, so no, his death in 2020 didn't have anything to do with Rush ending.

And yet, the drum mixes in the BD concerts suck.
