The book is quite graphic. There are already laws on the books of this content for MINORS. More importantly, why are police or security laying hands on a man when it is his turn to speak. If the board feels they don't allow it, they should simply walk off themselves, but to DRAG a man off is not constitutional in this country; yet its happening. Think about what follows this kind of behavior. They say the U.S.A is the freest nation in the world; this is no longer the case. This would never happen or ever happens in other countries I have been to.
Wait, you're mad that they were censoring the man for reading the book out loud? So, you're saying that the man has the constitutional right to read that book? Now tell us again how you feel about the book being banned.
@@rdean150 Yes... he can utter those words from the book under the constitution. Can he do it in a public forum under lewdety laws? Probably not without a fine or a warning to stop from real police. But the reaction was unlawful. They can't lay hands until he is under arrest. This is the issue.
Funny how a guy like you who has never actually read the book is absolutely certain no kid should have access to it. The book is rated for high school students and above. It is written in language common among teen boys of that age. Much like Catcher in the Rye or The Outsiders were back when they were written and people like you demanded that they be banned. Here's a simple idea, leave the book that is written from the perspective of a kid being bullied, discussing what is happening to him and how it affects him, on the shelf. If the parents of a particular student decide that they wish to limit the books their child is reading, then let them do so. Because you and others of your ilk, should not be making decisions like that. You are not competent to do so.
Too bad those "brave heroes" of the thin blue line were there to follow orders and kick him out, huh? Something might actually have happened or some change might actually have been forced to happen otherwise and we can't have that because all real "patriots" know that if you want to see change happen you have to wait to go out to "vote" because "mUh DeMoCrAcY!" 😂
It's hilarious that you probably won't ever see the irony. "Hey, don't allow these books in schools because I don't agree with them but let's allow the books that I want in schools"
Do you mean the King James bible? Because that wouldn't be fair to people of other religions. It's best to leave religious scripture of any kind out of the schools
Interesting how you as a news corporation haven't reported what this book is, I'd assume under a small amount of research you'd belong to a larger corporation of news networks.
He’s a strong Man who’s not afraid to stand up for the infringement upon his rights and values! That’s the thing, We as Christians and Americans founded on those same principles have become soft and weak to fight against this emboldened tyranny that’s affecting our Nation and Children! Let this happen in an Islamic School or Mosque, you know what will happen! Since the School board is so set in their ways and refuse to take appropriate action against angered parents, I call for a vote of no confidence within the fed school system and suggest a boycott against the corrupt establishment, and I challenge every effected parent to start homeschooling your children! If you say we can’t, then why not, because it inconveniences you? Oh yeah it’s easy to send your kid off to school like it’s a daycare while they are out of your hair while you go about your busy lifestyle!
If you homeschool your children you can teach your own family values and choose your own textbooks. Skip the jail time, lawyer fees and just homeschool.
@@SAMWHO1our taxes pay for public school. We shouldn't have to pay extra on top of that to homeschool our kids to avoid people overstepping boundaries.

The censor decides what you or your kids can access. Texas government doesn't trust you to be capable of making those decisions. The books aren't forced on anyone, but having them available to be sought out and read is just too risky, according to Texas law.
Homeschooling is very possible. If parents fear their kids to be indoctrinated and groomed, they can adjust their costs of living too. Not everyone sure, but a lot of people actually have the means to do so. Smart phones, new car, new house, all the things that have monthly payments that aren’t necessary. Live within your means and anyone can homeschool. - future homeschool mom :)
If you are afraid that reading a book might change someone's thinking... Then it isn't books that you fear, it's the ideas and thoughts they inspire that you fear.
Rah I'd love to hear you say that to my face or any one with children, younger siblings or nieces or nephews. You'd be thinking a whole lot differently and it would nothing to do with ideas, just one fact colliding with another creating a new way of being and filling you with a new fear. Every waking second of your pitterful little life.
Look at where we are at, they cant let him read what they have in the library
They say books "that represent a wide range of expression." Well, when those expressions are sick and immoral, they don't deserve to be represented.
I think childrens libraries should be censored, the Internet is, kids go in computer labs in school; they are censored, why aren't the books?

The “movement” won’t let this go viral
Just put only the Bible in the libraries and be done with it.
