I believe Ritchie is a little better live and performing. I have a friend that is very good. He said some of Ritchie's stuff is very difficult and he said Page is slightly easier to copy but the Tones are crazy to get. Love both of those guy's.

Jimmy Page live was very sloppy… horrible sound.. he’s a great musician who was working with 3 other great musicians, who’s input into the band was huge, whereas with Ritchie, he was the driving force behind purple and rainbow who came up with the great ideas… The biggest influence on Ritchie was Hendrix not Page…

Technically perfect guitarists are dull and lifeless. They lack soul. Not saying RB does that, he’s my 2nd favorite musician of all time and he’s phenomenal. But this isn’t a competition. Only little kids try to prove their guy is “better” than so and so. It’s an unmanly and immature thing to do.

There's no Deep Purple In Rock or Black Sabbath without Led Zeppelin.
Led Zeppelin changed rock.
