I paused as soon as I saw that was just Adam imagining things. You may punish a man for a lot of things but you don't just ask if a person wants a coffee and then you don't get them coffee. This violates the Coffee code and therefore Rowan has lost his coffee privileges. He may move to a other suitable drinks, for example tea or iced coffee which is just sugar with a little bit of ground coffee.

Even during the scene where he was confronting Rowan, i was sad expecting how bad this could end.
I thought it was actually happening, but the end would be Rowan calling from off screen that Adam is getting a pay cut.

Great seeing Adam finally stand up for himself. You guys have done an awesome job at maintaining a certain personality for each role and it was cool to see Adams character totally change. But of course in the end he stayed true to his old ways xD love it

I had this happen once. I was cashing out a drawer with my boss, who was being an asshole to me to try to impress some nearby girls who worked there. He implied something was my fault that definitely wasn't (he found some coupon that shouldn't have been taken), and after he was done making a huge fucking deal about it, he's like "You can't be accepting these coupons from now on, I don't want to see you doing this ever again".
And then I said "Sure, but I wasn't on that register, and definitely didn't take that coupon". He freezes for a moment, presumably and justifiably embarrassed as he should be. Then he turns his head to stare at me and says "What did you say?" in a way that was clearly trying to be intimidating and get me to say it was nothing so he could save face.
But I finally chose the "Fight" option. I was like "I SAID, I wasn't on that register, and definitely didn't take that coupon". And then he was like "I mean, I never said you did it, did I?" And I was like "You clearly implied it by going off on me for it and telling me to never do it AGAIN, which indicates I did it BEFORE, which I never have". And then he tries to laugh it off and passive-aggressively says "Hey calm down, I don't care if you did it or not", and I'm like "I DIDN'T", and he's like "Okay! You're getting kind of crazy!" while looking at the girls and giving them a look like "can you believe this?"
And then I said in my most serious voice: "No, I'm not. What's really crazy is how completely disrespectful you're being. I have literally never taken a coupon that I shouldn't have; I have never made a mistake like that. And I didn't even use that register. But for some reason you decided to act like I'm incompetent and make mistakes like that, and lectured me about never doing it AGAIN, like it was my final warning. For a mistake I didn't make, and have never made. That's insane. AND THEN when I call you out for it, you try to play it off like it was somehow NORMAL to be lecturing me specifically about it, and warning me specifically about it, if you actually didn't think I did it. The reality is that you thought I did it, and thought it was a good chance to try to look cool by needlessly criticizing someone, but it turned out you were wrong, and now you're trying to save face by playing it off like none of that happened. And it's bullshit."
He looked at me in stunned silence for a moment, and then he said "I'm not trying to impress anyone. I've stuck up for you in manager meetings before, but I'm done doing that. Don't be surprised if you're not here much longer. I think you need to go home for today. Go cool your head before something happens that you really regret." And I was like "Fine", got my stuff from the back and left.
Less than a week later, I was written up for "poor performance", despite being near the top of any metric that could be used to gauge my role versus the other employees in that position. Less than a week after that, I was written up again without having done anything wrong or anything differently. The day after that, I was terminated halfway through the workday. It only took a week and a half for the manager to fabricate a paper trail that warranted termination and then "justifiably" terminate me. When I was leaving the termination meeting, the last thing he said was "I did warn you."
That is my actually real story, without any embellishment. And getting fired was the consequence. It can be considered a cautionary tale... or maybe not. At the time I was mad, but in retrospect that was the best possible outcome. Might be worth doing if you think you can do better. Just be aware of what can happen.
I had a similar experience like that years ago for a retail job. The assistant manager harassed me in front of a customer so I reported her to the store manager and threatened to quit. Like fifteen minutes later the store manager called her in and put her in her place. I never heard another peep from that manager aside from telling me to do regular tasks and I think the store manager made it so I rarely ever worked with the assistant manager again. If something like that happens again for you then I would just report them so it's on record. If you're a good employee then it's going to look pretty fishy on his part that you've only started having performance issues after that incident with him.
You should have reported that to your hierarchy, but I guess it's better to leave the job, it's just a retail job you can find anywhere so if the environment is bad, leaves
