I’ve lived in Bayswater which is one mile from where the Officer was killed. I bought my house in 2004 and have zero problems where I live. Granted I just pass through Mott Ave but again never had an issue. No cars in my area or house have been touched in the 20 years I have lived here. I often ride my Ebike up the the boardwalk and west to Riis Park, no one’s bothered me! And I’m a white older guy (58). Youthful looking I can pass for mid 40s but still……… it’s not as bad as people think. If you mind your business here and not get involved with whatever might be going on nobody bothers you.

I think for officers, every pullover, regardless of the situation, they have to call out everyone in the car by intercom to come out, strictly for the safety of officers. I think for officers, every pullover, regardless of the situation, they have to call out everyone in the car by intercom to come out, strictly for the safety of officers. Then if they're bad guys with bad intentions they'll drive off and an officers life will be saved from being shot in a simple situation it should be protocol.
