Given a small team, of perhaps 2 people, it can be done, and fresh ports can be produced. I find it likely that the original data to render background animations may no longer be present, so the video resolution is something we'll have to live with though. A full remake is a possibility too, but i doubt it'll bring in enough money. And sound can definitely be salvaged and doesn't need to be redone.
