ONe of my favorite end bosses to any game. Too much good stuff, from the coolness of Evila's voice, to the awesome music, to the backwards fight in space, the Blank Dimension, everyone gathering together...damn nice finish to a short but sweet game.
Pudding's scream when she gets swatted away by Giant Evila was reused in All Stars Racing Transformed when she is hit by a weapon or track hazard but they lazily left Ulala shouting her name after the scream instead of editing it out so every time in ASRT when Pudding screams you hear Ulala shouting "Pudding!"
wow this brings back so many memories.. i remember staying up for days perfecting every battle.. gotta love looking back of the games you started off with :P
When I watched Meicyn play and they rescued Jaguar they also said that he was the legendary reporter that once saved Ulala's life. And Jaguar saved her life in this game. And when she saw Pudding, she said "Not again". Because she and Pudding dance battled in this game. I can't believe it! Now I am not confused anymore. I am completely amazed by how fast I figured this out. My cousin introduced this to me and I am in love with this game even though I don't have it.
1:39 = epic feeling, I dunno xD Loved this game. I remember barely getting that last UP. I was holding the controller the entire ending since I the scoreboard didn't appear at the ending march =)
well it wasn't changed too much, for some reason they removed the echo effect with her voice when she introduced herself and then it went back to normal it was kinda odd.
Nice job on that nasty Evila sequence. I once read a walkthrough that said that one of those was designed to be impossible (the one just before Ulala gets knocked off), but you and I have both proven it wrong.
good god, I was not expecting this to be as entertaining as it was, but I was honestly glued to the screen from beginning to end. Also? Those up-skirt shots of that robot are reeaaaly creepy, and I'm pretty sure they're SUPPOSED to be. So, y'know, that's cool too
LOL The ending was classic. Good job on beating the game with a perfect. I can't believe there are people saying that you cheated. This isn't the most difficult game in the world to get a perfect on.
I've never seen anything about Space Channel 5 before... but I'm pretty sure that was one of the best things I've ever seen. Now if I can just get around to figuring it out.
Fun fact about Evila regarding Dreamcast and PS2, in the Dreamcast version, she sounds like that in her introduction, in PS2 version she has a different voice there without the additional robot voice
Understandable, I mean Nintendo and Capcom have at least 3 characters each they can exploit for their systems, but Sega only uses Sonic. Which is a shame since this game's mechanics would work perfectly on Kinect or Wii/WiiU.
I hear ya, I'm not into motion controls at all, but before the Kinect, I was "if Space Channel 5 comes out for the Wii, I'm buying that console in a heartbeat" after the Kinect, I had the same purpose, but my wishes never materialized, I think it'd be best on Kinect since it'd be closer to making Ulala's dance moves xD
I know that would be soooo much fun. You could dance while you were doing it too ;-P Plus I love the music from Space Channel 5 it would be great to hear another soundtrack.
Ulala was the real evil mastermind. She "saves" millions of beings just to make them march to the edge of the galaxy.
And without helmets.
Well that's something cool coming from DOOFENSHMITZ
Ulala is real GIRL POWER forever!
"OKAY EVERYONE, NOW LETS MARCH TO THE END OF THE GALAXY!"
3000 years later...
"Uh, can we stop now?"
Well this sucks. Let’s go back.
*everyone groans*
Even as a Sonic fanboy, I wouldn't mind if Sega would lay off the Sonic games for a while and worked on their neglected franchises like this one U_U
kinda funky news flash
@@C4ST3R3T3RN4L non vr one
@@limalima6740 The closest we can go for an actual Space Channel 5 game right now
;)
Who played this and remembered the whole rhythm because I did
Blackvenom That Evila fight rhythm was pretty epic. :D
Of course
Evila routine I know off by heart. N I’ve not played it for like 20 years
yesss
I always think of James Brown when Fuze screams, "Ulala help me!" So much soul lol
OOOOh I so love Evila's voice when she says "I'm the ultimate reporter, Evila"
Same
Good, I'm not the only one, it sends chills down my spine
The newer versions with the non-digitized voice just don’t hit the same.
Memorised the evila part as I failed so many times. Rhythm timing and everything. Imprinted in my mind forever
2:24
Fuse: Ahh! Ulala, *help* *me!*
Ulala: What is it???
Fuse: There’s a sale on shoes! 👠 (faints)
Ulala: 😑
This video was uploaded 10 years ago today. Wow
now 14 years from today
This game is so kickass. It's painfully difficult though and I never was able to beat it.
You gave up
The ending sequence is so epic that I'm still trying to finish this level after 30 tries.
12 years have passed
But i... Do enjoy the end of this video everytime i see it
You know, for a guy who wants to kill Ulala so bad, he sure does enjoy modeling his evil robots after her. :/
+TwoTailedCaperer Reminds me of another Bald Glasses warring Sega Villain.
+λ Voreala λ I never thought of that!
+λ Voreala λ Goji?
sonic radio No. not a berry.
+λ Voreala λ Eggman
Blank's voice is so perfect for screaming directions. Would be awesome having him as a GPS system. "Turn RAIGHT! at the next turn"
I can't believe how perfectly you captured my exact reaction to the end of this game with the end of this video.
ONe of my favorite end bosses to any game. Too much good stuff, from the coolness of Evila's voice, to the awesome music, to the backwards fight in space, the Blank Dimension, everyone gathering together...damn nice finish to a short but sweet game.
Dude that was awesome gaming. I couldn't remember the long ones and when you had to do the opposite of the callings. Pure swagg!!!
"Now, everyone! Let's march to the end of the galaxy!"
You never hear that line in today's games...
"I didn't think a puppet could report!"
Neither did I until I saw Fox News Ulala..
It's nice to hear the actual Evila voice on Dreamcast.
Love the a cappella version of this theme
Pudding's scream when she gets swatted away by Giant Evila was reused in All Stars Racing Transformed when she is hit by a weapon or track hazard but they lazily left Ulala shouting her name after the scream instead of editing it out so every time in ASRT when Pudding screams you hear Ulala shouting "Pudding!"
Lmao, you’re right. That’s so stupid that they left Ulala’s voice in one of Pudding’s lines.
I really want there to be a new space channel 5 game or re-released and remastered. I freakin' love this game.
Wow this year is Space Channel 5's anniversary year
I feel so old...
I like how I have virtually no fucking memories of this game, yet it’s stays in my mind forever.
Local news reporter styles a man to death (7311 A.D)
I love it when people came together to chant with Ulala.
I would've given both my ovaries to join in
Crowd: get down!
Blank: Get down, up, cho!
As everyone knows, reporters are valued for their ability to dance. They are also good at shooting aliens and rescuing people.
>there will never be another rhythm game finale as cool as this
Probably the most epic rhythm game
With Ouendan?
@@ikagura Every finale in the Ouendan trilogy is definitely up there yeah
@@niiinjaaaaa I just did the trilogy recently and I loved them.
The music for the last bosses are AWESOME. Still loveSC5 after all these years
10 people missed the "UP!"
That's just plain evil, Sega...and I love it.
The inverted commands battle is by far the most brutal part of this game! Mind blowing to get 100% on it.
I Can play this game 30 years from now and still remember the choreography freaking love this game
Wish sega would bring it back
"I am the ultimate reporter - Evila!"
"I am Shadow, the ultimate life form!"
Sounds familiar, eh?
Same company
This is one time I'M going to do some rottenness! And that hedgehog won't stop me! In a word... THEY'LL ALL BE SUNK! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Yeeees?

*always dances to others' beats*
And beats them at it 😉
just like parappa, the "hip hop hero"
***** ***** I'm glad there's still space channel 5 fans
I was born in 2014 but i wish i was kid when this game came out, it would be magical to play the game in the 90's.
i just LOVE the soundtrack from the Evila´s Battle, its just...great!
My favorite part of the game. Love the Evila boss battle music.
The acapella music is the best in the whole game, I think.
Christ, I miss this game. Haven't played it in YEARS.
It is a joy hearing a voice so serious as Blank's go: UP! DOWN! CHU!
wow this brings back so many memories.. i remember staying up for days perfecting every battle.. gotta love looking back of the games you started off with :P
2:47 "If they say left I press right right?"
Yeah
"View rating: 100%"
Blank: "T... the ratings...! 😩"
Are you even reading that, Baldi?
I completed the game I just turned the control upside down. When everyone chants the commands together it gets easier
8:51 Morolian: Up!
You: pfhttr!! Oh shit there's a last comand!
Me: Lol
You know this is the best video ever! I Love playing Space channel 5 I played that game when I was 11 years old.
Every story from now on needs to end with a march to the end of the galaxy.
"They should've named Evila "Ewlala" just a thought.
Nah..Evila fits well.
omg this game made my childwood, like others, in my PS2 ''brick'' edition
Did she just say "March to the end of the galaxy?" That's not even physically feasible XD
Everything is possible with ulala's groove
Says who 🙄
lol he spat his drink on that VCR in the end
When I watched Meicyn play and they rescued Jaguar they also said that he was the legendary reporter that once saved Ulala's life. And Jaguar saved her life in this game. Jesus. This video is 12 years old.

Never thought I would get some Social commentary in a rhythm game
And yet it is.
I really hate how they changed Evlia's voice when they ported this game to PS2. :( I heard it and died inside
well it wasn't changed too much, for some reason they removed the echo effect with her voice when she introduced herself and then it went back to normal it was kinda odd.

That was great!
I was stuck on this level so instead I decided to watch this.
Such a very good game I cant wait to play the sequel! :>
15 years later and I still never finished the ending lol
This game is so fucking hot. If you don't admit to seriously getting into it at the last part, you're lying out of your ass.
I love the soundtrack! So Bond-ish, in a jazzed up kinda way
The Soundtrack is hot, it has that whole Austin Powers feel to it, and also its really catchy as hell.
LOL The ending was classic. Good job on beating the game with a perfect. I can't believe there are people saying that you cheated. This isn't the most difficult game in the world to get a perfect on.
Let's march to the end of the galaxy! Best ending ever!

5:00 Blank always talks with so much passion for everything 😂😂
Fuse: Oh no, the sound system, the music!!!
Clone trooper (star wars): Watch those wrist rockets! 4:07
Ulala: (got hitted by wrist rockets! 4:12 )
This was uploaded before I was born (October 2006) wow xD
this games plot is so relivant now a days haha
Oh evila music ftw
To this day I still can't figure out how anyone follows the sequence at 4:01. It comes out so fast it's a little hard to hear properly
They all died marching to the end of the galaxy.
kisdota Then explain the sequel.

1:37 She's really feeling it!
I have no idea what game this is but it look amazing.
It's Space Channel 5😍
Ulala's 'Down' is a lot more... dignified than Evila's.
8:51 FINISH FAIL

oh..and i also love how Evila changes her moves all the time!

I have to say, playing that game was awesome. It was weird at times(Space Michael)but good game. Good video.
@itchyisvegeta they tried that with the Playstation's Eye Toy, not a good idea. It's also been suggested for Wii as well.
I had this in my recommended.
For the current generation that managed to somehow or someway find this video this...was a thing. yeah.
This video is almost the same age as me
I can't understand what they say!😂 is CHU or SHOOT??
Chu. It's a japanese phonetic otomonapeia for blowing a kiss.

Really? Interesting...
+Game Guy95 oh cool! :)
I always thought the Morolians said "Chih."
Doof Network lololol
lol I always thought the same thing. I thought he was just overwhelmed by the grooviness.
I always feel pressured when the boss battles have you with less than five hearts or stars.
Blank and his voice kinda reminds of Rokkaku Gouji from JSRF
I hear ya, I'm not into motion controls at all, but before the Kinect, I was "if Space Channel 5 comes out for the Wii, I'm buying that console in a heartbeat" after the Kinect, I had the same purpose, but my wishes never materialized, I think it'd be best on Kinect since it'd be closer to making Ulala's dance moves xD
This game seriously needs to be re-made....COME ON LETS ALL MARCH TO SEGA AND FORCE THEM TO DO IT
I know that would be soooo much fun. You could dance while you were doing it too ;-P
Plus I love the music from Space Channel 5 it would be great to hear another soundtrack.
Endings like that are why I love Sega
"I am the ultimate reporter, Evila"
I'm not ashamed to admit it: The exact same thing happened to me at the end too.
I will never forget those three words
"Chu, Chu, Chu!"
this damn video gets me so emotional lol
