Jennings called Tatum soft simply because he doesn’t beat his chest or talk too reckless like the others do. Tatum isn’t as outspoken, but there’s nothing soft about him averaging 27+ and winning.
If gas throwing rocks at the thrown I’ll take it. Anybody got something to say still gotta go through me. He’s not soft trust me. People never speak Tatum's full accolades, Tatum has 2 Gold Medals, the first which he was the number 2 option behind KD and he does have an ECF MVP trophy, he won the first one.
I could be wrong but I don't believe the point of that (skin color) being brought up was intended to suggest that sentiment as an appropriate ideology. I think the point was to emphasize how B Jennings verbal attack on Tatum could come off as self hating/colorism.
If he’s specifically proclaiming a player is “soft” because they didn’t win a FMVP then he thinks Steph is soft, why he let Iggy and KD win? Why D-Wade let Bron win? Why Kobe let Shaq win? It’s just dumb all around and I actually do think part of the criticism of JT is about how he looks and carries himself…light skin, pretty boy, soft spoken, drama free, professional
I honestly think people are really waiting for JT to have outburst…he plays everything as cool & that’s why I really like him…because honestly it’s just a case where people don’t know ?…. moral of the story Be yourself no matter what anybody says.

Tatum lead the Celtics in scoring in both the Eastern Conference championship and the Finals. Problem was he kept getting double teamed towards the end of the games. That shifted the attention on to JB which is why he had more clutch plays in the 4th quarters of the games. That's what got him the MVPs.
People forget how gritty Tatum was his rookie season when he went toe to toe with LeBron in the eastern conference finals. He’s far from soft he just toned that energy down
Brandon Jennings really raising his voice and yelling Tatum's name on a couch for clout. Tatum putting up with all this bullshit and staying cool is all you need to know, he's mentally tougher than all these fools
This finals mvp nonsense is so bs….Tatum was like 1 of 6 players IN NBA HISTORY to lead his team in points rebounds and assists throughout an ENTIRE playoffs run. Media is ass for giving Jaylen those awards because of what? Defense? lol
I mean come on, as a huge Celtics and brown and Tatum fan, I think it was fair and pretty obvious Jaylen was going to get it. Yes in game 5 Tatum really carried it home. I was SO happy for him. But Jaylen closed games 2 and 3, dominated a long part of game 1 and had the dunk that really just carried so much emotional momentum for the team, and had 30 in the game where Tatum had his first big game( Tatums 30+ game in game 3 where brown also was the one who closed). Oh and he also shot I believe 6 full percentage points better than Tatum. That’s not everything, but I DO think thats also part of what swung the vote for Brown. He wasn’t super efficient either after game 3, but Tarum shooting 38 percent really hurt him. Brown was also crazy good on D vs Luka. I forget the stat exactly but it was sometbing like 59 out of 100 Luka vs Jaylen possessions the Mavs didn’t score.
I think people call him soft over his obsession over Kobe and letting that be his personality. I didn’t really see Tatum “hate” before the “I got you” Kobe text, then losing. I remember seeing Tatum wear that Celtics t shirt to practice, same one Kobe wore in an old pic, and people got on his case about that. I know people say he’s corny with some of the stuff he does as well, example being the “WE DID IT” finals scream.
He probably is the softest Celtics superstar. That’s some pretty hard-nosed company in tougher eras. I used to have him as soft. There was a point in the playoffs against Miami where he got smoked 8:49 . Out of the air, flat on his back. And he got up and walked it off like it was a baby slap

U don’t have 46 vs bucks and 51 vs sixers facing elimination both times being soft. So again like Rudy said if Tatum soft then the league is soft.
so JT doesn't drive to the paint aggressively?
He legit does that more than shooting threes but people don’t actually watch the games or look at the stat sheets🤦🏿♂️ and just listen to whatever they’re favorite goofy of a pod caster says
Do people not remember that JT led the Celtics in points, assists and rebounds. But he had a bad playoffs and a bad finals. That don’t make sense
I feels like he's soft too
3 soft dudes talking bout who’s soft???? LMAO
Waist of 3 mins
51 points in a game 7
I would like him to have more killer in him. Go Celts.
No one is afraid of him, so one says " oh man i gotta guard Jason tatum"
What nba player have you asked? 😂
No one says that about JB either though is he soft? No one says that about bron, nikola, Luka, are they all soft?
The whole finals the Mavs doubled him once he touched the ball.
@@PeteringYT if you mean for JB they did the same for Tatum and even tripled him, my point is simply that this idea that Tatum is soft is absolutely ridiculous
They fired Mero?
