  • @TheRobversion1

    People call him soft because hes a nice, soft spoken guy like Timmy Duncan. People equate being hard or being a dawg to trash talking, aura, taunting and things that really isnt basketball.
    As a former spurs fan, i've heard so many people call timmy soft. People were just forced to acknowledge his greatness because he won so many chips. Thats route JT has to take to gain the proper respect.
    Cant really see how people can call him soft when hes the league's resident iron man and has the most wins in the past 7Y or so.

    • @uzi978
      @uzi978 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Couldn't agree more.. I think Duncan and Tatum have quite a few similarities, and you're right, Tatum's gotta win a few more titles just like TD. But as a Celtics fan, he's already there... people calling him soft are just jealous, he's a fantastic player, and isn't really allowed to show emotion on the court.. how many times has he got a technical for clapping, or dribbling the ball too hard? It's crazy the way refs treat him.

    • @TheRobversion1
      @TheRobversion1 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @uzi978 yup. Cant blame JT for trying to control his emotions. He gets a bad whistle from the refs getting automatic techs for waving off or clapping when guys like luka or draymond can verbally abuse refs and get away with it. Can you blame him?
      People who call him soft just pretty much misuse the word. As melo said. People nowadays use soft as another way of saying "i dont like x." i'd understand if people said i dont like how JT shoots more jumpers instead of driving. I dont like his game. Or i dont like how reserved and family-oriented he is. Those are fine. I mean if we are criticizing JT for these things then ray allen was soft. So was pistol pete. Mark price.

      He does pout at the refs though. Cant blame him. He gets a bad whistle and doesnt get the same superstar call at the line other guys do like brunson, embiid, dame, SGA, trae, etc.

    Tatum lead the Celtics in scoring in both the Eastern Conference championship and the Finals. Problem was he kept getting double teamed towards the end of the games. That shifted the attention on to JB which is why he had more clutch plays in the 4th quarters of the games. That's what got him the MVPs.

      I mean come on, as a huge Celtics and brown and Tatum fan, I think it was fair and pretty obvious Jaylen was going to get it. Yes in game 5 Tatum really carried it home. I was SO happy for him. But Jaylen closed games 2 and 3, dominated a long part of game 1 and had the dunk that really just carried so much emotional momentum for the team, and had 30 in the game where Tatum had his first big game( Tatums 30+ game in game 3 where brown also was the one who closed). Oh and he also shot I believe 6 full percentage points better than Tatum. That’s not everything, but I DO think thats also part of what swung the vote for Brown. He wasn’t super efficient either after game 3, but Tarum shooting 38 percent really hurt him. Brown was also crazy good on D vs Luka. I forget the stat exactly but it was sometbing like 59 out of 100 Luka vs Jaylen possessions the Mavs didn’t score.

    Jennings is the type of person who is jealous because he doesn't have what Jason has. We call that a soft Ego, you can't controle yourself about other peoples qualities. You can do 2 things about it in real life: 1. accept it or 2. try to level it. In his case he won't(can't because he doesn't play anymore) do both, so Jennings ego will keep being soft 😉. Sitting from a couch talking as he is Grant Hill. Stop it.

    I think he is a very good player, I was just disappointed because he did not explain any plausible reason why Jalen Brown was not nominated for the US team. But that’s what 99 percent of the player do if it comes to politics. They just keep their mouths shut because they are scared in order to lose their careers. I like Jalen Brown and Kyrie Irving for example because they are real.

Someone who has a nasty demeanor about themselves, but can still kick your ass on the court.”⁣ His own father is mistaking kindness for weakness by basically calling him soft and that is so wrong!

    This is only a convo b/c Tatum had an inconsistent playoff run. Probably y he changed his shooting form this year. But like Rudy said u don’t average 27 being soft. U don’t have 46 vs bucks and 51 vs sixers facing elimination both times being soft. So again like Rudy said if Tatum soft then the league is soft.
