I liked the early Stones stuff. Brian’s slide on the pinky finger is the best. Sitar, recorder, you name it, Brian’s many instruments added color to the band. Yes, but Allen Klein didn’t cheat them out of that, they lost all rights to things like that when they first signed with Andrew Oldham and Eric Easton. Klein merely bought out Oldham when Oldham did a runner in 67.
I love the Rolling Stones, I’ve been fortunate enough to have seen them twice, the first time was Wembley Stadium 1990 when the Stones were supposed to play in Cardiff but Keith damaged his finger and the gig had to be cancelled, so I was in the Virgin store in Oxford Street, London I decided to buy myself a Lou Reed cd so I went into the store and I grabbed my cd and went to the counter and behind the glass it said, Rolling Stones in concert Wembley Stadium so I snapped up the chance and I bought 2 tickets for just £25 each, unbelievable, it was Bill Wyman’s last ever concert with the Rolling Stones, and what a great concert it was, I managed to get tickets to see them again this time in 2018 when they played their last gig the tour of the UK in the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and I paid £85 just under, and they started the gig with Street Fighting Man and they ended the concert with a 10 minute version of Satisfaction and in my opinion the Stones were much better in 2018 then they were in 1990 believe it or not, and I think Keith and Ronnie on stage together are definitely well worth watching but, Mick and Keith treated Brian like shit in my opinion, Keith took his girlfriend, and Jagger took his band and made sure that Brian lost it all and I’ve something from a band member of the Faces that went to the Stones free concert in Hyde park, he said that Jagger was being so false about Brian’s death it made him feel sick, most of the butterflies that Jagger let go were dead and the two band members of the Faces got up and walked straight out of the concert. I honestly think that Brian was in a very bad way both physically and emotionally and Jagger and Richards both knew that and they just took full advantage of it, what a way to treat a so called friend, I love Keith I think he’s a pure legend but what they did to Brian was disgraceful and disgusting, Jagger and Richards I’m talking about, who needs enemies when you have friends like Jagger and Richards.
"Brian's input can be heard in every song on those RCA recordings. What he didn't touch, he went out and learned. You hear his color in songs like Lady Jane or Paint It, Black. In some cases it was more than a decorative effect. Sometimes Brian would pull the whole record."--Andrew Loog Oldham
Don't forget Mick has stated that who was Stone's bassist in early lives has been lost in the mists of time!!! It WAS Dick Taylor, his childhood friend; those guys are narcissistic, erasing whatever doesn't fit their narrative!
Brian Jones was THE first rock star. The first to wear his girlfriend's shirts which Keith would copy, the first to bring slide guitar to British audiences.........just innovative. Listen to his guitar from the gig the first bit of footage shows, its high in the mix, raw raunchy almost punk.
Think Brian Jones was basically, to coin a seemingly now overused phrase, " Thrown under the Bus". Yes, the Drugs did play a part. But, he was the true musician of the group. And the most creative member. Mick was basically a prick in some ways
If you go listen to We Love You by The Rolling Stones, it sounds exactly like a Beatles song. Almost a complete copy of style, rhythm, psychedlic melodies, their voices, everything.
@@williardbillmore5713how about you make your own video if you think you have better knowledge of the stones 😂 but oh wait... you don't have better knowledge of the stones the reality is that you're a pathetic phyco who has this weird personal vendetta against Brian Jones and that's all you'll ever be.
To me, Keith Richard’s did something I consider to be totally unforgivable. I’ve always thought that “stealing his girl” is something you never do, especially to a friend… and founding band member. That’s a horrible thing for someone to go through and then have to show up and be creative with a bunch of dudes who sat back and let it happen. Fuck being in a band with who behave like that.
Bill Wyman is the guy trying to rewrite the bands history. I am piecing together what really happened from Brian's own words. Interviewer--- What were you doing before you joined? ( The band) Brian---"um well I was just sort of bumming around waiting for something to happen really. I had quite a few jobs and uh I was trying to get a band going but it was unsuccessful until I met up with Mick and Keith" Notice he didn't say, I auditioned and chose Mick and Keith As Bills's unlikely story tells it... He said " I met up with..." Brian Jones explaining to an interviewer about not being able to start a band and instead joining Keith's band, The Blue Boys. Brian was UNSUCCESSFUL at trying to get a band going. Brian is telling us he had no band but he wanted still to be in a band. “The band is really an amalgamation of two bands. The one being an R&B band I formed about a year ago, and the other being a group run by Mick and Keith in S.E. London. I was introduced to Keith and we decided to pool our resources, so with Stu from my band, and Mick from Keith’s we became the nucleus of the ‘Stones.’” The group run by Mick and Keith in S E London was the Blue Boys. Brian went to Keith to see if he could join their band that had been founded seven months prior. "We decided to pool our resources..." is Brian's saving face way of saying that He and Ian Joined the Blue Boys. The Blue Boys never broke up, they just had two new members. They decided to change their name to the Rollin Stones before playing the Marquee Club but Ian was opposed to it. He hated the name so they could not arrive at a consensus... When Brian was talking to the Jazz News on the phone about publicizing their debut he was asked their name. He Gave the name the band had discussed, making it official. It makes a great story, that he just looked down, but there were no Muddy Waters album covers on the floor of the phone booth. Think about it...They could hardly afford heat and food they certainly couldn't afford a residential phone,
Tom Keylock was The Stones driver and Tour Manager. He was their Mr Fixit until 1969. You can see him in The Hyde Park film from 1969 and in the studio with the band while filming Goddards ‘Sympathy For The Devil’. He was at Brian’s home before and after he died.
I've heard this narrative over many years how Brian was the true founder and musical genius of the Stones, and how Mick and Keith took over and pushed him out, but I have yet to see or hear any definitive performance of Brian Jones singing or playing. I have never heard any songs that he actually wrote or performed by himself. No studio clips that show him as a virtuoso on anything. Is there any content out there, audio or video that actually shows Brian as musical genius??
Unfortunately no.There are no performances or material that justifies the adoration Brian gets. It seems that his good looks are all that they can come up with to Justify their blind devotion and lies and fantasies about this very mediocre musician

The Rolling Stones, as we know them, were formed when one October day in 1961 Keith noticed the hard to find R&B albums under Mick's arm on the Dartford train platform #2 and recognized his old classmate from primary school and started up a conversation. The blue plaque honoring that moment Remains in place there as it should. Research into Wyman's silly claims of Brian forming the band gave reason for Wyman's objections to be eventually dismissed by the town Council, and the historic blue plaque remains there in it's original and accurate wording to this day. Their enduring and unique musical partnership has withstood the test of time and given us one of the most successful rock bands in history.

I'm not going to judge how people behave when someone dies. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors.
"Brian's full musical talents are gradually emerging to show that he has a considerable future as an arranger."--Rave magazine, July 1964
Great narration.
You are the best , man. Ever consider doing Charlie Parker?
Here we all are, not talking just about the stones, also with each other about music. I fucking love music.
Brilliant doco mate. Well done.Subscribed.
Brian even playing saxophone! Who knows how far he might have gone with another band
Seems like someone’s been reading the Tom Keylock autobiography.
I didn’t know there was a Tom key lock biography?
Wow, superb.........so many things I never knew about👍
I love your content. Thank you.
THE PROBLEM WITH BRIAN WAS HE WAS NOT A STONE BUT A STONER ! 😂🤣😂
If you go listen to We Love You by The Rolling Stones, it sounds exactly like a Beatles song. Almost a complete copy of style, rhythm, psychedlic melodies, their voices, everything.
The Beatles sing on it. Other than that I don't think it especially sounds like a Beatles song.
Excellent...great narration and content.
Why did you randomly talk about Keith collapsing? This video is about Brian
Deepest and most sincere apologies. I dont know what came over me.
This narration confines itself to salacious tabloid gossipy news about the band. Very little of it is true or accurate.
@@williardbillmore5713how about you make your own video if you think you have better knowledge of the stones 😂
but oh wait... you don't have better knowledge of the stones the reality is that you're a pathetic phyco who has this weird personal vendetta against Brian Jones and that's all you'll ever be.
Retroactively Jones needed a songwriting partner and maybe things would have been different.
At 16.00 Brian looks like a 90’s Bowie!
Basically just like Altamont and the Tate LaBianca murders, Brisn being ousted spelt the death of hippyism. So thats 2 for the Stones
Very entertaining but how the hell do you know what Brian said when he was tripping… how about saying something on the positive side!!!!
Bill Wyman is the guy trying to rewrite the bands history. I am piecing together what really happened from Brian's own words.
Interviewer--- What were you doing before you joined? ( The band)
Brian---"um well I was just sort of bumming around waiting for something to happen really. I had quite a few jobs and uh I was trying to get a band going but it was unsuccessful until I met up with Mick and Keith" Notice he didn't say, I auditioned and chose Mick and Keith As Bills's unlikely story tells it... He said " I met up with..."
Brian Jones explaining to an interviewer about not being able to start a band and instead joining Keith's band, The Blue Boys.
London. I was introduced to Keith and we decided to pool our resources, so with Stu from my band, and Mick from Keith’s we became the nucleus of the ‘Stones.’”
The group run by Mick and Keith in S E London was the Blue Boys.
Think about it...They could hardly afford heat and food they certainly couldn't afford a residential phone,
Great channel.
Everything about this video was fantastic.
Justice for Brian Jones.
Egos, heck I got a guy to sing for a group, one few times and he thought he was Mick Jagger.
Who the fuck is Tom key lock? I’ve never heard that name ever until now
Tom Keylock was The Stones driver and Tour Manager.
The bluddy arrangements like Ruby Tuesday and paint it black, imagine him with a synthesiser
@@Reprodestruxion jONES HAD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WRITING OR ARRANGING OF EITHER ONE OF THE SONGS YOU MENTIONED.RUBY TUESDAY WAS WRITTEN SOLELY BY KEITH RICHARDS AND ARRANGED BY JACK NITZSCHE, THE SAME GUY WHO PLAYS kEITH'S BRILLIANT COMPOSITION ON THE PIANO. ALL BRIAN DID IN PAINT IT BLACK WAS TO COPY kEITH'S SINGLE NOTE GUITAR LINE NOTE FOR NOTE ON A SITAR.
BRIAN WAS A POSER.
@@Reprodestruxion Jones played a mellotron, an early kind of synthesizer on Their Satanic Majesties Request
Studio album by The Rolling Stones.
It was not outstanding.
That's because he wasn't. A smattering of fills on other instruments besides guitar here and there was a cool novelty, but c'mon that's not the definition of a prodigy. 'Genius' in today's parlance, man, is anything above average.
You said Anita dove into the pool and Anna pulled him out of the pool. Other than that mistake, great documentary.
Brian Jones - STOP YOUR DRUGS
Never go full psychedelic!
If Keith was wasted at the R&R Circus, he still played great
Mick & Keith hired the hit.
Charlie: "Bad Luck" lmao
Jagger and Richards kicked him out of the band he formed. Their best music was with Mick Taylor playing lead in my opinion.
I told die hard colleague i disliked ol carp lips 80s stuff like state of shock and the revolting song and video Lets work.he acted like i was lying.Idol Denial was my diagnosis
❤thanks
JJJ didn't go number 1 in the usa.
Anita Pallenberg was the fire in out of the frying pan into the fire.
The other stones definitely come across as kind and caring, sympathetic ,well they probably might allegedly take nickels off dead folks eyes, maybe.not an indicment ,merely observation. At least Da Nuge showed respect on Cat scratch fever record.RIP Mr.real rolling stone.
I thought Dylan wrote "Like A Rolling Stone" about Brian Jones?
Dylan covered the song like most of his early discography
The real musical talent within the Rolling Stones was undeniable Brian Jones. However Jagger/Jones strived to become the next Lenon/Macartny without any succes. What or who ever killed Brian The emotional killers and egocentric persons are known. His unprofessional attitude was the result of the non empathic behaviour of MJ/KR so why say sorry after the deed many years later? It's 'good' Dylan ('he knows what it means to be overrated') got the Nobel price on literature, peace making was not his strong partner, arrogance for sure!
Arent The Rolling Stones originally a bunch of prep school kids?
"To be honest, Brian had no talent for writing songs. None. I've never known a guy with less talent for songwriting --- Mick Jagger
Brian turned out to be a crybaby
Dude was way overrated he played couple weird instruments and slide guitar the stones would've been just fine without him
In other words, you know absolutely nothing about 60s Stones. Jog on, troll.
The Rolling Jones
He dies 3/4 into the video.
The inflated lore of a marginally talented bloke.
Imagine thinking any of the Rolling Stones is "marginally talented." Nonsense.
What a waste of a life .
2 bad.....
I'd probably like The Rolling Stones, if Jones had of survived & had his musicianship & any other creativity, he had 2 offer.
Brian, had so much talent, dat he coulda started his own band. If he couldn't stomach dis, Jimi Hendrix, woulda LOVED his help wit arranging new nstrumentz, n2 his muzak.
RIP
U were my favorite Rolling Stone.
Brian was an Eagle, Don Felder, to a Henley & Fry, and a Beatle, Pete Best, to Paul & John.
This is some horribly written sheeet!!!!! The writing jumps from one fact to another, without a single connection, or train of thought, between two random facts stated back to back.
And what's with the narrator annunciating every other word... i.e.Example: "Then he PAST out on the FLOOR and SAW PEOPLE"?
Cant wait to see your rolling stones documentary
