I had to check if this was real (the tetris CD-i) and this music aged so well. Im surprised it was well done! Probably the most aesthetic tetris ive ever seen.
@@Zaxiade I think the songs on the album were even given actual names, like 'Pop' and 'Nature', instead of just their respective level numbers, which I think is pretty great!
@@michaeljfan9720 The story of the vinyl release is interesting, it's a bit the other way around! :) Big Cartel actually contacted Jim Andron with the intent of making the Tetris CD-i vinyl an official release and sending royalties, but there was no response and they went forward for the time being. Later, when Jim contacted Big Cartel about the initial unauthorized release, they brought back up the e-mail thread and made the proper arrangements. So, albeit after-the-fact, Jim Andron gave the vinyl release his official blessing, and has received what he described as "generous royalties" from the sales.
this is so perfect for my current melancholy, that i just listened to this twice while standing alone in a dark room, solemnly overlooking the flats and houses below, silently singing and humming.
This is a great track for sure, but I also want to see a rip of level 6. That's another stand-out track from Tetris CD-i that doesn't get as much attention. Could make for a good Christmas-themed rip, maybe?
Let it be known Tetris CDI rips are always appreciated, and all of them are always bangers.
Punished “Venom” T-Piece: A piece denied their Tetris
I heard this version first and didn't even realize it has some minor alterations. It's so natural. Props to the ripper.

Jim Andron, the composer, even spoke with someone to have the OST released on vinyl, if you're into that!
Tetris Effect would like a word
@@michaeljfan9720 I'll give it a listen!

Tetris: The Phantom Block

I'm glad the best track from this great OST has finally been ripped
the best rip was the one mixing this with Hotline Bling (sadly taken down), but I agree, never too many tetris cd-i rips
@@rakeroll5413 it was taken down? Unfortunate, I really liked that one.
@@Nemyoseo yeah, though it's still on the bandcamp as Tetris Bling
actually really pretty wtf
What the fruitcake
when tetris went nuclear
Staring: Punished "I-Block" Hero
Directed by: Alexey Leonidovich Pajitnov
God bless you Siiva, thank you for helping me to discover CDi Tetris
listened to this before ever hearing the original Nuclear and honestly, it just doesn't go as hard as this does
Boom, Tetris for Snake.
ah, this makes me feels like 80s
Nuclear Tetris.
I hope this goes down as one of the best rips here. This is up there with My Boo x Dire Dire Docks for me
Yay, more Tetris CDi rips

You'll rip the most obscure stuff and I love it
I HAVEN'T HEARD THIS SONG IN YEARS.
STANDING
This is too fitting
Huge fan of both tracks
Since the Hotline Bling rip is back, I think this rip must have a name change
closest we will ever come to GHE rips
I miss the old hotline bling rip of this.
Question: Was there a CD-I version of this game?
yes, and it was very AESTHETIC
yes
and no joke, the "aesthetic" part of this rip (not Nuclear) is legit the actual song for Level 0 in the game
How does someone even come up with the idea to do this
What's the joke ? Pls
nuclear war has broken out so siIva is shitposting about it
we will all die soon
