We owned this exact model and year for 20 years and 90K miles. Loved it. Handling is probably the best of any van, with independent rear suspension and very accurate steering. I got it up to over 100 mph once and it was stable. We only sold it because VW no long supports it--even with vital engine parts. So it's a great van you can't get parts for. We bought a Ram Promaster-based RV. The PleasureWay Tofino is the closest modern equivalent to the VW Eurovan Campter. If you want to check about parts for this van, make sure you specify the year. Some changes vs. the 2000-2003 models mean things like the transmission arent interchangeable.

People complained that the T3 Vanagon's just had no style/class compared to those T2's (which are beautiful by the way). But these Eurovans just have no soul. More reliable. Stronger engine. But just no soul.
