This is very valuable guys! Some people think it is easy life; make video, upload it and earn money. Definitely not! I agree 100% with Mathilde, if you want to do this (TH-cam) you have to really love it because it is a sh*t load of work. And you see that every single bit of content you guys make is made with love and passion. Let's meet fast and make a banger of a video together!
That is definitely a full time job! Mathilde’s English has changed a lot. When you guys are done traveling you’ll be professional video producers and travelers and mechanics and storytellers and logistics coordinators. Awesome resume!
Very informative and it makes people realize the so called ‘digital nomad’ life is not all roses and sunshine. You’re more than fulltime entrepeneurs, travelers, designers, content creators and more at the same time. No security, no job, just the willpower and creativity, passion and dedication. Bravo, keep it up!🤞🙌🙏
Thank you for sharing this insight to your life on the road, as a professional photographer I appreciate just how much time you have to put into your weekly posts. And what a legacy you are creating that your children & grandchildren will be able to experience your incredible lifestyle in years to come. Loving these new Thursday shorts !! Keep doing what you do !! You are the perfect Vanlife couple !🥰
hey Greg!!! how are you? Honnestly we have trouble doing everything so we have to make choices. for instance taking pictures is not always so high on our priorities list which is a pity but video comes first .
Fantastic videos from Next Meridian, Thank you both so much for spending the time to share them with us. Mathilde's face was hilarious in the last video when she had to do the dishes out in the cold ☹☹☹ 😂🤣👍
You two are both so talented. Engaging videos each week are proof of that. It must be exhausting at times. Looking forward to your continuing adventures.
Love the addition of this new format/series guys. Strong start with the first episode; this info is literally gold for people new to content creation or thinking about getting into it. Très bien! 👏🏻
Hi, N&M, i watch your videos from the start of your Journey. And Have to say you are amazing couple. And inspirational for me and many people. Great job and stay care.
This was so interesting and informative! Loved the illustrations- nice talent! Beautiful couple! Your hard work is appreciated and hopefully worth alllll the time you put into it to make it the quality that it is. Blessings!
Thanks for sharing. I imagined that there was a lot going on "behind the scenes" and am impressed on how well organized your expedition is with all of your multitasking. The TH-cam videos are professionally fantastic! And it seems Nick has a keen eye in finding how to amaze us every week.
You guys are such a great couple and a fantastic team. Mathilde, I love your videos and the work you do to keep them fresh and interesting. Nick, the work you do behind the scenes to keep everything together and Albo maintained is amazing. Bravo to both of you! 👏
It is amazing to follow your journey, I totally can relate with you guys in editing and planning the shoot. So much work goes to a travel video and sometimes the audio is not great, itis windy and lots of things also could go wrong. And you are always on the road which makes it harder.
so many things go wrong hahahah a big part of the work is to accept to release non-perfect content. especially on the road like this. at least that s the case for us.
I'm a small overland youtuber, just got monetised - all of this is bang on. TH-cam doesn't pay as much as people think, it's like a £1 per 1,000 views Living the dream guys - keep em coming
hey! keep the work going! it does pay more than that (not huge amounts but maybe wait a bit and the time TH-cam gets what your content is about it might increase). But definitely TH-cam alone does not make a revenue.
I've seen a couple of other YT'ers describe the process and what you say here mirrors what they have said. Keep up the work, enjoy life ---- and keep giving us you spectacular content. Love it!
Hi Nick and Mathilde, a great video and very informative and will help us out in thefutureas we plan our own trip. Just started watching your channel and really enjoying your videos. All the best Steve 👍
Good insight in what’s happening in the background! Also nice to see that there is also talent for nice drawings. An congrats that even though you see that thumbnail and tittle are very important you don’t fall for easy deceiving and spectacular thumbnails.
Great video guys. I'd like to see one on your planning of where you want to go, maybe the tools you use etc. I imagine that is one already on your list. Love watching your videos.
I love your very hard work! I know some of what it entails. I made a 15 minuet video of squirrels and cats in my back yard and after editing for 4 hours, I had 10 minuets of video and one hell of a headache! NO TRAVEL INVOLVED!
hahahahhahaha I can imagine that this topic would be next level decision making. I think... You did not spend enough time on the story writing hahahaha
@@NextMeridianExpedition Correct, I had the squirrels chasing the cat, it never happened. And my cat was to lazy to chase the squirrels. Have to plan for less cooperation next time, if ever.
Nicely presented run down of your adventurous lives. There is always a lot of background work going on even at times when it just looks like fun and pleasure. You seem to have struck a good balance and team effort there. Well done. Keep it up and look forward to more videos. God Bless.H
Hitting the balance is the hardest probably, making sure the world tour remains number one while being proud of what we deliver. Not always simple but working at it !
What a great video! Thanks for sharing all insights and the handdrawn illustrations fitted so perfectly for a better understanding ☺️🙌🏼 Also pretty funny how you two split the work compared to us 😄 Last thing: Your vibe was so great in this video, i‘m happy for what you made out of this whole trip / business and we wish you alle the best and more for everything that‘s in front of you 🍀 - Kathi & René
@NextMeridianExpedition for us it‘s like this: René: - TH-cam (Editing, Uploading, Title, Thumbnail(s) etc.) - Writing the texts for both of our voicovers (at least the first draft of it and Kathi is finalizing her part by herself) - Most of the filming - Mechanic - Communication regarding sponsorings / cooperations Kathi: - Initiary (including booking flights / attractions etc.) - Filming - Reels / Shorts for all plattforms and also photo posts - Fullfilling of Shop orders - Preparing meals on the road (whilst i‘m cutting the next video) - Securing the data of all devices like you said (drone, sony, iphones, gopro, audio devices etc.) - accounting At least for now 😅
this is such a great video and it's so helpful! i always wondered how you make it all work so it's a good rough guide for me who one day wishes to own a defender and travel. question: did you guys do TH-cam before your travels started or it was the travel was the main reason you hoped onto it? i also wonder if it would be any different for me as a Zambian and an Afrikan but i guess that's for me to find out. looking forward to more of your work and travels! love & light
good question, before we left nick was editing small videos for memories families and friends from our trips. super simple edits including photos without any voice over. So when we left we thought why not continue it will make more memories than pictures for us. but we did not bet on it to work at all. I agree you should try to know I think unique perspectives are always worth it!

That was interesting. It’s quite a change from when I did some world traveling on a shoestring 50 years ago. Back then for extra money you might do some work under the table - pick fruit, bar tend. I herded sheep for a while. Laws about work visas were often less rigorously enforced than now. I think it was also a lot less expensive other than airfares which are probably less now. I don’t think I spent more that $3-4 a day in Australia and didn’t feel hampered.
Honestly and truly for the people that watch you they should know I do I've been following you all for a long time probably ever since you started I was watching Eva zubek then I found you all my point is for the people think that her job is easy it's not it's a pain in the ass..💯♥️
Great video. Having tried to create some videos, I know how hard and time consuming it can be. One reflection, isn’t it tiring to be on the move six days a week?
very good question! we thought it would be BUT: because we live in our car we always feel we sleep in the same spot cause it s always our bed. Moving allows us to fullfill our dream of travelling the world while visiting a maximum of places. we dont take a lot of CHILL time that is true. but that Thursday gives us a sense of pause in the move

- Mechanic
