@@godislovepraisehim8483 whenever your puppy starts peeing or pooping carry him/her real fast and take them out side, then keep saying whatever the order you want to say like ( go potty) keep doing the same thing every time your dog is needing to pee or poop until they get used to do it outside and try not to clean after them for a while so they have their smell on there
Some dogs take a day and some take more than that so be patient.

All my huskies seem to be at odds with themselves. They are stubborn but wanna please their humans.
A tip that I think helps with little ones, this is for when they just start training, is when they do go inside, hold them while you clean up the mess and take the mess outside to where you want them to go. If you take them back to the same spot it seems stick in their heads. If they go act like Santa just came to town and you're 6yo

Got my husky at around 10 weeks. By the end of Day one she started going outside to do her business. Yes, you have to watch for the little telltales ( sniffing around and sudden stop in play or whatever ) and take her outside. Treats and praise when she did. Of course it helped to have a doggie door and fenced yard.
Oh yeah, baby gates are indeed recommended.

We were given Judy, to be babysat, when she was 7 months old and was not trained to be inside. As her owners were moving from one city to another city here in Canada, they did not want her back once moved so we brought her into our family. She is now a little over 4 years old and was taught how to be great holder to the time she had to go once we got home to walk her. She knows her walk trail and she loves to walk that trail.

I took my husky puppy out for 1 hour straight to potty and we just played cause he wanted to. He didn't potty so we went back inside, he went to his bed and I went to do my school work. When I got back to check up on him he was sitting innocently on his bed but I saw a corner in that room that had some numero dos 😂🤦‍♀️ It took him 3 days to realize that he should potty outside.

It's so funny after watching your video. We did almost exactly everything you said here to train our baby when we first got him. It was a difficult two months process. But we did it!!! he never have any accident he's potty trained and he is turning 3 the coming Friday! I would say, it is so important to take them out to potty every 2 hours at the beginning. we literally set an alarm and wake up every 2 hrs in the middle of the night to take him out. And also slept with him at the living room for 2 months, every time when we heard him awake, we immediately take him out for potty. And now we have a accident free house since after that.
BTW, love your channel so much!!!

      I have to
Ask my friend about Bue are Slberian Husky.I think Keith and Bobby got Bue as a puppy. a After Bobby pass away I took Bue to live with me at my sister house. Her husband said as long as their dog got along with Bue it was fine with him. Their dog fealty in love with Bue. I never had any problem with Bue or the other dogs we had. Also when I live with Keith and Bobby we had another dog and two cats.I bought books about Siebiren Husky , Bue was not like any other Husky. Bye didnt like the beach, wouldn't go into the water. Ran from the waives, wouldn't go up stairs. After awhile itookhim to to the groomer to be groom. It's worth the 125.00 to have him groomed. They get the under coat out an smells so great, plus Bye love Ray who gave him his bath. I could hear Bue and Ray in the background on my phone talking to each other. Bye love Ray and Ray love Bye. I didn't know anyone that didn't love Bye or the other way around. Bue love my mother as the same as he love her. Years pass and Bue wanted to doggy heaven(R.I.P.Bue). Funny how many Sieberen Husky I see now. I mean A lot come pair to 1990 when I had Bye. Thier one of the best dogs, and I have A lo of dogs in my life. Well that my story about Bue and my self. Thanks everyone for lessening to my story. Bye for now. Ronnie.

Reading all of the comments here makes me realize how fortunate I am with our Husky Fritz. We adopted him when he was only a few weeks old and you are right about the every two hours it was much like having a human baby in the house as my wife and I took turns taking him outside and we got very little sleep. We never had to potty train him at all. We just had to pay attention and he would let us know when he needed to go outside by talking. We have had many different breeds of dogs in our lives and Fritz is the only one that has done this and he continues to do this even today. Fortunately he no longer has to go every two hours like he did as a baby. He is a bit of a trickster sometimes because he sometimes just wants to go outside and might not need to go potty yet. He is incredibly smart to be sure with loads of attitude!

Frankly, with any puppy I have an internal alarm that goes off about every 30-45 minutes to take them out unless their sleeping soundly or in my lap, etc., but once they’re up it’s time to go out.
After getting up, after eating & drinking or every 30-45 minutes. My rules anyway. The reason I’m here is because I almost forgot all that stuff & we just got a husky puppy. :) Our adopted pit bull is a great dog & about 6 years old now but has chilled out a lot. I swear he was a puppy for years lol. Thanks for these great tips. Your dogs are gorgeous & very lucky to have you. 🥰💜🐾

I'm getting my husky puppy this spring, and I have been watching all of your videos; they are very helpful! I do have a question though, in one of your videos you said baby gates are suuuuper helpful because you should keep the puppy in one room at first and expand as he grows. If I keep him in the living room during the day, can I bring him to my room at night because his crate will be there when I sleep, or should it be in the room he spends most of his time in? I got my husky when he was 8 weeks old. The breeder had already started to train the dogs to do their thing outside. The thirst couple of weeks I kept a close eye at him. When possible I let him go in the garden. I walked him 3 times a day. He soon started to give me notice, by standing at the door when he needed to go. He maybe pied in total 8 times and pooped 2 times on the floor. I cleaned it up without mentioning it to him. Since it’s a male dog I used a detergent with a smell neutralizing agent.
I also have noticed that he poops when he has walked a km or so. He prefers high grass and weeds.

My German Shepherd has only had 2 accidents since I've had her in 4 years, she'll do the same thing by laying in front of the door. It's really just about being consistent with them. Good luck to anyone heading out on their own adventures with new puppies.

Yo sixty! Strange one.. when we took our first husky pup to puppy school the trainer actually said they are one of the easier breeds to potty train as they really really dislike doing there business where they are most of the time. We found this to be true for us. I think Yuki, our first pup, only had like 3-5 mishaps. We also just got a new puppy, Goku, and he also already asks to go outside to do his thang.. he is 10 weeks old and maybe had like 6 slip-ups so far.

I think we're in the same situation. My husky doesn't poop or pee when we go on a walk, she just likes to poop in our doormat.

Will this work even if there are 3 dogs who just poops/pees around the house whenever their inside? For context we already have 3 dogs that wasn’t potty trained but i want it changed with my husky puppy because i put him in the same room with me upstairs and most times the 3 dogs are downstairs. Hope this gets answered thanks!

Great advice I made the mistake of potty pads for the first 2 1/2 weeks I had Zeus and now 3 weeks later we are down to 1 or 2 accidents in a day, I need a bell as Zeus goes to the door and sometimes barks which is Awesome but other times he will pee right at the door. He is almost 13 weeks now and super smart and sometimes a little defiant! 😆 But I couldn't love him more, if you have advice on getting him to stop eating the deer poop that would be helpful! He thinks it's a game and picks it up and runs when I say no. I offer him treats he likes but he likes deer poop I'm worried he will get sick eating it when I don't catch him. Thank you, ✌ and 🐶 💘

I don’t know at all about puppies or animals in that matter but now I’m learning how hard it is I’m having trouble potty training her she poops and pees everywhere sometimes the mat sometimes outside It’s always different Also at night she wakes up every hour crying and whining And I live on An apartment which wasn’t the brightest idea . How can I train her to love her crate also what treats are best for her ?

That pottying where you can't see is such an issue with my boys. We have a spare room where the cats have litter boxes that we don't use often. It has a gate but the dogs have literally torn down the gate to go potty in there instead of outside or somewhere else in the house

great tips... I just installed a doggie door thinking/hoping that my husky was smart enough and preferred to do her business outside, we just couldn't read each other's cues... then she pushed through our baby gate and pooped behind the couch. Do you not recommend having doggie doors?

My Husky is 15 weeks old. I got her when she was 11 weeks old. The previous owner only had her about 2 weeks. She is a HANDFUL, and I can see why she didn't work out there !!. She was NOT potty trained when I got her. It has been an experience I can't remember from any other puppy I've had. I did have a Siberial Husky back in '92 but I don't remember needing to potty train her. Marcy ( the New Puppy ) sleeps in bed next to me. She can go from 10PM to 6AM without a potty break. I scoop her up and carry her outside so she doesn't stop to go potty. SO I know she can hold "it" for 6-7 hours. Now during her daytime hours I take her outside every hour, to 1 1/2 hours. I give her lots of praise for going outside. She will still have accidental pee's inside the house. I had her go 8 days without an inside poop accident. I can take her outside for a poop job and she will snif, snif, snif, circle, snif, and then lose focus and need to start all over again. We can walk around for 15 minutes without a poop, go back inside, and then poop within 5 minutes.. #PuppyLife,#PoopyLife

Sixty what do you recommend for a disobedient dog? My husky understands basic commands but when it comes to not jumping on people he ignores me. It gets so bad that he jumps on people for attention and ends up scratching them (I trim his nails but he still claws at them) it got so bad that he jumped on a woman for pets and attention but the woman hugged him before I could tell him to get off and tell her not to and he bit her (not a serious bite but a bite is a bite)
there are times where he ignores me completely and refuses to come near me. My little sister spoils the holy holy HOLY heck out of him by giving him treats for no reason, plays with him even if he does something wrong and even when I discipline him, he bares his fangs at me up until I give him the death stare. (Only way he’ll back off, other than telling to go to his kennel)
Is there anything you think I should do? I’ve tried telling my sister to knock it off but she keeps saying she’ll stop but keeps doing it so I was wondering if there’s something I can do for my doggo.

Love your channel, your narration is so funny! I have a 7 year old Akita male, he was quite hard to toilet train. It was a choice between Akita or Husky. I still get pepole mistaking his for a husky. Which is weird, I don't think they look anything like them. ANYWAY the No.1 thing that worked to toilet train him was HAM. 🤣🤣🤣 aka "high value treat". Waited until he went for a pee outdoors, then gave him HAM. Magic HAM. Job done - finally!!!

Hey can you please make a video about preventing husky puppies from eating anything thats on the floor like dirty things, insects, dust, and even hair. And please make a vid about the best schedules on when to go potty, when to let them out of their cage and when to let them roam around the house. Thanks and gratly appreciated advice.

I have a 15 week old Huskimo (Siberian husky/American Eskimo dog) puppy and have been having a very difficult time potty training. We have been doing everything mentioned other than the bell training. She has days where she does great and no accidents and then days where she goes more in the house than outside and we are kinda at our wits end. Between that and her hitting on us all the time we don’t know what to do

I have a 5 yr old that I rescued back in March. She was doing really well, but now has started going on the downstairs carpet at night. I don't crate her because she has issues from when she was with her prior family. She's on thyroid meds that make her have to pee a lot! Any ideas? Thanks!

I’m not sixty but if I were you, I’d take my husky out more frequently. If she is peeing indoors at night (I’m guessing since she can’t hold it in because if the meds), I guess you’d just have to take her out at night too. Do reward her for peeing outside at night, this will let her know she’s doing the right thing. I know this can be really inconvenient and annoying but it’s the only solution I can think of.

I have adopted a 4 month old Husky puppy, who has already been potty pad trained. How do I un-train that behavior (in a new environment) without adding anxiety to her new lifestyle? She has never pottied outside, and thinks outside time is only playtime. I also have a 1 year old husky who is fully potty trained. (I started him @ 8 weeks old with your excellent advice from this video.)
