    My son is so jealous that I grew up in the 1900's. Everything they have now is.....Well NOTHING, but a computer 💻🖥️ boring! I do believe being a child in the 80s and a teenager in the 90s was the absolute best era! Smelly ✏️ pencils & scratch n sniff stickers, Wolfgang candy fundraisers with that pencil box, jumping rope with the rope busters at my school, and passing notes to friends. OMG I miss those days.

    So cool! I just found this channel today. I grew up in the '90s and having Lisa Frank anything was a must. I had notebooks, folders, etc! I had quite a few of these items from this video as well.
    This video was definitely a fun nostalgia trip for me. You've got a new subscriber

    Drew the 'S' on everything. Also had POGS in school until the school banned them. One of my elementary schools forbade Trapper Keepers for some reason too. Also Yikes pencils too! Can't get any more 90's than that.

    I feel like the 90s was the last good decade of kids doing harmless, albeit physically dangerous things 🤣
    I'm surprised ANY of us have fully functional eyes considering that many of our toys and games included hard/pointy/sharp objects flying in random directions without warning!

  • @Tabletop_Epics
    @Tabletop_Epics ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I still have an unopened pack of black and holographic Yikes pencils. I think this makes me 90's rich. Or just lucky.
    Scholastic was magical, and Goosebumps ruled. Kid's horror definitely hit its peak in the 90's.
    We had a POG shop in our local cheap mall, and they would give discounts on bulk POG purchases if you brought in a report card with A's.
    Lisa Frank was my Mary Kay Letourneau, and I was her Vili Fualaau.
    Also, that damn "S" was everywhere and then was suddenly nowhere. It was odd. Very odd.

    When I was in 5th grade “sweet breath” had just came out. My school banded them and confiscated them. I was friends with some of the “bad” kids. They thought they were cool because it had alcohol in it😂 I can remember my friend having to empty her desk. She had like 20 little bottles.😂😂

    Around the year 2000 i went to a new school that was more high tech and just better .my 90s school had no computers a priest and unhinged bullies and the teachers themselves were basically bullies and would probably get in trouble if they still acted like that a few years later . the new school had bigger buildings and was more modern and fun .so i view the difference between a 90s school and 2000s school as a very big deal .but it was probably a slower change for most people .

    i'd like to see a video about anime in the 90's. namely how little the west actually knew what anime was to the point of getting things like a single blockbuster rack that had everything from pokemon to borderline hentai. it was a weird time that needs to be talked about more.

      people thought it was all for kids they would put akira in the kids vhs section next to lion king and wondered why people got angry . same with early western adult cartoons like south park .

    • @belstar1128
      @belstar1128 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      they would also release the anime over 10 years after it came out in japan so we were all watching 80s or even 70s anime like gundam

      @@belstar1128 people got really pissed when perfect blue hit western theaters and parents were wondering why there were seral killers in this cartoon movie.
      thank god anime has gotten big enough in the west that "it's a cartoon so it's for kids" isn't the norm anymore. hell,i'm glad animation as a whole is at least STARTING to be treated as an art and not just something to distract your kids with for a bit.

    Schools in northern American need school, as much as Japan has days off, 365. School need more substitute teachers for the summer, the health of students, do turn out unhealthy.
