Mark, Great salvage .As for the "Dickals" 😂 I use some tricks for restoring old or crap decals.I scan them in to my computer first to make copies on Decal Paper if necessary. Then I seal them with Microscale Liquid Decal Film before use.Thought I learned this from you?
Nope, not tried that one but it's noted bud and thank you. One to remember. And sucker for punishment, I've got another A-10 rescue build to do, twin seater this time 😅
Gr8 video again mark, very comical as usual, that must have taken lots of patience to build,👏👏oh by the way have you tried Terry's mint orange 🤣🤣👍👍see you next time I'm at club 🙂
Hi Mark, I’ve recently become an MRP paint convert and absolutely love them! You’ve answered a question I had about whether a gloss coat is needed for decals or are the MRP paints smooth enough as they are. Have you used the MRP Matt varnish at all to finish the model off in a flat finish and is it like their main paints in that you have to apply multiple thin coats? I used Tamiya flat clear on my last build but only because I had some in the stash. Cheers Phil
Yes Phil mrp matt is my matt of choice. Same as the paint, distance, slightly higher psi, about 8 or 9 and I'd say a decent point needle, .2 or .3 cos it doesn't like the 0.15 in the harder. It's not the angelic matt varnish either On my Spitfire the varnish actually tainted sections of the paint job. However, it didn't ruin the work, it actually added to the overall effect imo Gave it a really weathered look, it's hard to describe. I'll watch the Spitfire video back and see if I can spot any footage to guide you to. Any more questions please ask I've actually found a picture so if you've got a fb/ wtsapp etc I can send it to ?
Loved the video. Couldn't understand a word you said, but I loved the video. I just finished building this kit and absolutely hated it. Poor fit, clunky details and just a generally bad experience. The engines and their means of display are an absolute joke.
Lol must be my accent. Yeah it's not the best but it is what it is. Engines in those clear cowlings isn't great but I couldn't be arsed trying to find a better way to mount them.
Brilliant and funny video, good job with both the kit and vid
Cheers young lew
