Hi, you can use the m1 method and it should be just fine. Increases often have a direction so on one side of a garment they will sit to the left and on another they will sit to the right. If the direction isn’t an issue I usually use the m1 or the knit into the front and back of the stitch but that is just my personal preference. I hope that helps x

I'm using an old pattern where it says Increase. Should I use the M1 method?
