Oh my goodness. What a cool looking plant. I need to find some seeds. I've got some friends suffering from lyme disease. I was just talking to my children a few days ago explaining lyme disease to them. This is an awesome video to pop up in my suggestions at just the right time.
I truly appreciate your help and your videos and I truly know that a lot of people probably say this but 🙏 my friend you have started me on a new journey in my like I have messed up my back and body in 2008 and I'm almost 50 and I'm so tired of my life and pain any more these days and I'm trying to figure out the best Herbs to get me through this B's and seriously though I truly appreciate your honesty and love of this
Omg. First time watching this guy. Fantastic cool fellow. Watched from wild bird seed perspective . But I got much more. Definitely subscribe to you. Thank You. From Cobh Cork.
You are so awesome! I just moved to a new location in a whole new region and there is a whole new variety of plants I now need to get to know. You've helped me discover and learn about so many already! Im beginning to be able to hike and spot so many new plants and I know what they are good for. All because of you being open to sharing your wisdom with us. I appreciate you so much!
@@terrymartin3224 would using a magic butter machine be ok to remove the oil from the root? I have one huge plant. No one knew what it was. Until I started watching all of your comments. I know nothing about using this. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I’ve got some teasels growing from a wild one I harvested seeds from last year. It’s growing really well now with loads of prickly leaves. I’m just growing it because the flowers will feed the bees in summer and the seeds will feed the birds in winter.
OMG, thank you!!! I have this strange looking plant growing in my yard. The only reason it hasn't been cut down is because I thought it was cool Looking. So glad to know what it is and how it can be used. Thank you!!!
Always liked teasel plants, among others. I think teasel played the role of the poisonous plant in Rappacini's Daughter, with Vincent Price. (Twice Told Tales.)
I've been on a herbal medicine journey and came across your channel in a lucky TH-cam playlist mix! Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the ancient medicines! A true blessing among the modern times where new age medicine says treat the symptom we have herbs, let's share this sacred wisdom so humankind does not lose these gifts mother nature has given us ❤
Thankyou , love the structure of teasle, great to see your video with ideas of how to work with it. How would one make a tea, would you just dry the root? Thanks for all the vids and enthusiasm for the plants :)
It works less on nerve pain and more on structural support and increasing vitality. So it would not be a primary herb in a MS treatment, but could be useful as part of a formula.
I agree with the Jedi, it's less for the nerves. I would say that the main reason why it is considered good for lyme is actually because of its reconstructive effects on bones, ligaments and tendons, which is needed after they have been damaged by lyme-arthritis, the main manifestation of the disease in 60-70% of people. I'm not sure if and how it works for the other forms of lyme, there are people who say it chases the borrelia out of the tissue into the bloodstream, but that's hard to tell and it probably depends on which stage of lyme you have. What I noticed for sure is the reconstructive effect. In combination with rejuvenating herbs like ling zhi or other ganoderma mushrooms, your body can even travel back in time and teasel will help you correct joint problems or skeletal injuries from the past. I am 48 years old now and I have managed to correct a wrong back posture I've had since my teenage years, plus correct my left flat foot to have an arch again. It's not an easy fix and requires a lot of time (min. 1-2 years), discipline, exercise and healthy lifestyle. But it can be done!
@@MrFufumannwow I just mentioned today that I feel I can hold my posture better today after a few days of taking teasel and I wasn’t sure if there was a correlation!!!
Can not begin to tell you how much I appreciate your herbal knowledge. You have helped me along my herbal pathway. My question is you told us how to make the tincture, but did not talk about dosage amount. Once again thank you for sharing your wisdom with us.
💜💜😎 I really love the way you put this video together and the knowledge you put out I would love to find half the stuff and use it like you do unfortunately I live in the city where everythings time-limited 😎💜💜
Wash your eyelids with a solution of bicarbonate of soda BP (must be BP) use a cotton bud, dip wipe and throw. Stings a little at first, but wow cleans fantastically, eyes feel so refreshed. Tip small amount bicarb in eyebath and pour on boiling water, it will fizz initially then calm down. I use often to control bleph, good luck.
Sarah Howard add the flowers to the top of water in a wine glass or crystal bowel. Let the sun shine through them for 4 hours, then filter and add 25-50% alcohol to capture the essence. Water this down 100-1 for dosage and take 3-5 drops regularly.
Namaste my lovely 😊 Thank you so much for this wisdom. How would you make the root into a tea ? Would you have to dry it before, how would you dry it ? or is fresh best ? Many blessings of gratitude 🙏 my friend Ellie of Britannia ( U.K.) Ps most helpful, I have one come up in my garden, and wondered what it was. 😉
Hello I got me some 1st year root dried and powdered i wasnt sure how much to dose i drunk half a teaspoon in boiled water I have the runs I know I should have made a tincture now and maybe took 1 or 2 drops help please would be appreciated I dont want to waste the powder x
Thank you so much. I was aware of its usefulness for Lyme Disease as a flower essence, but not other uses for the root. In the park near my home, they are gradually cutting down or poisoning all the stands of teasel, and I'll get out there to harvest what I can (and maybe plant some in my yard). Keep up the great work.
It grows here, in Denver, CO, zone 5, so I think you are one zone higher, 6. It likes disturbed places- look around construction sites, housing developments, like that. I have it by my house, in what I consider a bog/ low lying area/ drainage ditch for a housing development. You get more rain than Denver, so it might be on level ground in your area.
Some folks on Amazon are saying it is causing tingling in the legs and keeping them awake at night. But there seems to be one brand which is working well without those side effects. So i wonder why. Maybe depends when they harvest it?
Hey great video as always @HerbalJedi So, does it matter what species of teasel ? Dispascus Sylvestris the most medicinal? Also how can someone acquire good quality teasel seeds for the correct teasel species to make the tincture for lyme. Thank you.
Harvested a bunch of Yarrow last week , up in northern Minnesota, its all over the place! Still looking for Teasel! Need an alternative to Doxacycline and Flagyl! To treat my lyme If I have a relapse, pharmaceuticals takes as long time recover from, and do alot of damage!

Teasel is so common here in the U.K
Interesting...if this will help Lyme's disease symptoms, I bet it would help with MS symptoms as well. Thanks!

Just found your videos fantastic. Could you please show how to make the medicine from root to tip. Thank you. 😊😊🐱🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Doe Harris typically we use the root of this plant.
100g of root to 400ml of alcohol. Macerate and shake daily for 2 weeks.
Is this considered invasive?
Yes, it is a biannual so easy to control if diligent about control.
💗 Spikey Plants 😁
Haven’t seen that kind of plant before I am from Australia it sounds really good
I am so going to work with this, as always a great video!
So how do you do that? That last part about the flowers and how to make it too!
