You about outdid yourself in choosing this one - Ronnie Montrose was such a beast riff guitarist! (R.I.P. , Ronnie)
So many 80's bands owe Montrose a ton of accolades for his influence.
    Great choice !!

Wow....grew up with this album, played over and over and over! So underrated. So happy you're teaching this to a generation who may have never heard of this. And don't forget a very young Sammy Hagar as singer! Thank you for doing this, and the background of artist he played with, so cool!

Hands down the cleanest, clearest, right to the point, guitar lessons on the tube. Its like candy watching these lessons with the incredible rock tone you get from that Les Paul and the great hard rock songs you teach. Thanks.

Watching your videos has demonstrated a couple of things to me that have been profoundly valuable: First, you've used the same (fantastic-sounding) Les Paul for each and every lesson where you've needed to teach an electric part, yet, I've come away from every single video feeling that you completely nailed the tone of each original recording. I'm a bit thick-headed so it took me a year or two to realize that what I am most responding to is how perfectly you've gotten the FEEL and nuance of each song, as well as the tone. Sir, your playing has profoundly answered the question for me that it ain't about chasing gear and, man, I will be forever grateful to you for teaching me that.

I agree! I've looked at tabs and all over TH-cam and this lesson is dead on in my meaningless opinion. I saw Ronnie Montrose in the mid to late 70's and they kicked ass! It's a major influence for taking up guitar.

First off, your playing is some of the best I've ever seen. Not just here, but in all your vids. So perfect & so clean. The actual song itself is only just okay, but the guitar parts, and specifically you playing it here, is absolutely sublime. So so enjoyable. Near-perfect blend of crunchy rock riffs, bends, fills, etc. Keep slaying guitar my man.

I saw Ronnie Montrose in the early seventies when he was with Edgar Winter...smokin hot show and when he went solo I saw him again. I still have his first solo album and had Paper Money but it was on 8-track for those of you that remember, it went "kachunk" (track change) in the middle of a song. Thanks for all your work on these vids.
