Honestly, cutting ties with Destiny and not wanting to talk or debate is fine but this whole turn of events was super weird and Vaush's vids feels like a hit-piece with criticism couched in so much blatant mischaracterizations and revisionism.
Destiny literally can't respond to the absolute coward comment or call out mischaracterizations like the Noah debate 'walkback' or else he's dramabaiting or spiteful?
Despite the content drought due to league there were literally no videos on the channel or 2nd channel about the Ctrl+V and absolute coward comment or debate challenge to get clicks etc.
And then Vaush decides to ban all mentions of Destiny, going out with a pretty bad faith rant he wanted his fan channels to make and imploring content creators to also ditch Destiny.

And there really isn't an equal annount of crying going on here either. Vaush will occasionally go on a ten or fifteen minute rant about Destiny only after his chat pesters him about a particular Destiny take, and usually he doesn't even make it a video out of it. Destiny will then spend an hour or more giddily reacting to the ten minute rant and make a video out of it almost every time, complete with mean spirited Twitter snipes.
Honestly I wish they'd hash it out too, I'd love to see more debates/conversations between them. But from what I've seen anyone who thinks there's anything near an equivalency here is lying to themselves.

Destiny however is every bit as egotistical as he seems best I can tell. I'm relatively new to both so the jury is STILL out on both but its not looking good for Destiny even if Vaush is a lil shitheel sometimes too. Vaush re-running his ideas verbatim after shitting on him is obviously pretty shitty. If vaush was adding something to what Destiny said or giving more nuance to it I'd agree with you. Should we now list every person that helped us come to a conclusion on any given topic when making an argument? You act like Vaush has to like or respect Destiny because he agrees with some of his points and that logic does not follow. Why do you think its shitty to like one argument someone makes but shit on something else they say? On top of that he still holds interesting positions on mental health, life ,political action and co-ops and so on. Moreover, many of those wholesale socialists (rather than social democrats, market socialists, etc) will buy into those positions and be closer to those people than to reasonable left leaning people, so a ban on the people propagating cannibalistic genocide rhetoric isn't entirely that bad.

If a socialist is a Stalin apologist or anything of the sort, then go right ahead with the treatment. Still, lots of market socialists consider themselves socialists and saying that “wholesale socialists” buy into Stalinism etc. is a huge generalization when there are many that don’t. As a former Chad, Vaush reminds me of a couple of linemen I played football with. Dudes that would talk shit behind my back to chicks I was hooking up with and constantly sending them IM's, begging these same girls to go out with them. (Yes, IM's... I said it. AOL 1999 bruh). What dudes like that never figure out is that, none of that shit-talking ever really advances their own agenda as much as they hope it will. Keep your pimp hand strong Destiny...

While I appreciate Destiny's rhetorical skills, I think it's undeniable that he has the personality of a contrarian. Back when I taught college students, every semester I always had one or two students like him. Intelligence + a deep hatred of conformity led to these students making interesting, but ultimately fruitless, arguments in their papers. If you accept the reality that Destiny's primary motivation is simply hating whichever movement is growing in popularity, then a lot of his takes make sense, such as his bizarre support for Citizen's United or his insistence that white people should be allowed to use the N-word.
