    Fazioli sets a new standard for pianos in the 21st century. When you caress the keys of the Fazioli 6-foot grand piano, you set in motion an action technology you have never felt before. Unique geometry with hand assembled parts custom made in Germany by Renner allows for ultimate expression.
    Paolo Fazioli has created a grand piano with a full, rich bass that belies its size. The evenness of tone from register to register is unparalleled in piano scale design. The finest materials and workmanship possible come together in a piano that offers the most rewarding playing experience for a piano of its size. These pianos are in very limited supply since each hand-built instrument takes at least a year to build.

    I know of someone who sold his house to buy a Fazioli then move into a trailer w/ his new piano. What dedication!

    I actually had the opportunity to play the piano in the Fazioli concert hall (next to the factory) in Sacile in front of audience. It was a dream of a piano. Never before in my life I had this perfect experience with sound quality, feeling, balance, and ease of playing. I fell in love with it. If I ever win the lottery I will definitely buy a Fazioli.

    The first time I heard of Fazioli Pianos was watching the 2021 Chopin International Competition. One of the biggest winners was Fazioli, with it's beautiful and embracing sound, fully deserving of acknowledgement.

    I don't often comment on your videos (although I am a regular viewer) but when I hear something really outstanding, I sometimes feel compelled to do so.
    What a sparkling tone, and lovely resonance this instrument has in all registers. The bass notes are so clear, balanced. And your playing of the Scarlatti was a perfect choice for this wonderful, distinct articulation... each note floating up into existence.
    Although I've never even been in the same room as a Fazioli, I have heard the wonderful things they can do. It's nice to hear your assessment of a lesser known yet hugely respected maker.

    I played one at the Frankfurt Music Fair in the early 90s. I was astounded. 9:40 is the real substance. However they mange it - soundboard, scaling, ....? - it is that rich sound that provides the foundation for all else that is wonderful about this instrument. What good is the best action on a tinny piano? Action was perfected generations ago. By whatever alchemy produces that tone, that is where the art still resides.

    Hello Robert
    That Fazioli is just beautiful
    The bass is exactly as you described
    It just sings from bass to treble
    What an incredible experience you had, playing that beauty in front of the man himself
    Thanks so much

    Good grief! What a piano! Brilliant throughout its range. You're right about the bass. And the treble is crisp with what sounds like lots of extra overtones. At that price, I could buy a house. Two of those pianos would cost what they claim my house is worth! I can only dream! Move over, Steinway! Reminds me of that 32' piano I sent you the link for. The one that your movers would hate to move! :)

    Precision in the articulation of notes & the action of the instrument are important in determining quality. Why I tend to gravitate toward metal style electric guitar designs rather the the traditional builds in spite of not being a metal guutarist.

    My opinion of Fazioli? The best.
    I hear less of neighbouring strings than with other pianos, giving clearer tunes and harmonies.
    I assume that F183 is the size in centimetres !

    This piano checks all the boxes and is a pleasure, but doesn’t win over my heart. Maybe it’s the bright and monotone treble. To their advantage, Fazioli pianos, opposed to Steinways, leave the shop ready for the concert stage. This piano new, probably goes for around $165k (including tax and tariff). For this price, I’d much rather have a retired Steinway C&A model D that has been broken in and perfected. Not only does it have a broader color palate, it has a soul. Another option would be a Steinway model A, similar in size to the shown piano. Not only would one save about $40k, but that piano could be voiced to one’s exact specifications. Not only that, it has a proven track record of lasting generations. For all we know the Fazioli sound board loses all its power after 40 years. I think the Fazioli is great for amateurs because a lot of the tones are easier to create, but a fine pianist appreciates the artistry required to make a Steinway tell a story.

    • @LivingPianosVideos
      @LivingPianosVideos  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Fazioli has been making pianos for over 40 years and they hold up extremely well. If you ever have the opportunity to play a Fazioli, it would be interesting to see what kind of connection you would have with the instrument.

    • @AL-pu7ux
      @AL-pu7ux 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@LivingPianosVideosHaving cross shopped the Fazioli, I played a few concert grands- the F308 and F278. Tremendous power. Responsiveness that is leagues ahead of Steinway. Clearly a Fazioli comes out of the box absolutely perfect, from its tone down to the gold hinges and finishes. It’s clear Fazioli has already raised the bar for other manufacturers- CFX, Shigeru Kawai, even Hamberg Steinways are brighter and bolder than ever before. Regarding Fazioli, I hope they’re around forever and I hope they continue to set the standard for craftsmanship. To me, their tone is so bright, it limits the colors tremendously and my ear becomes fatigued from hearing the same types of sound. I’m curious to see if there is a darker sounding Fazioli out there, even though that’s not what they’re going for. I’ve been watching your videos for years and absolutely enjoy your presentations. Thank you for all that you do.
