@@deprime9521 There were actually 2 versions of it, being that, and a Hey Moon version. I don't know the order of events, but apparently the original live audio for the Cop Killer music video got lost, and on top of that, it ended up censored, and a version with Hey Moon was broadcast (a nevertheless great version). There is a video Nick Rochefort found that's uploaded to his youtube channel by his name that's a phone recording of it, and WP4K PROJECT tried to recreate what the original live performance video would have been like.

One of the last times I heard this song was on the way to cop Heroin in 2016. I was having such bad withdrawals I could barely drive. I had this song playing when I shot up. I’ve been off it now for 3 years but I still can feel that weird rush hearing John and his Synths

See, it's those wails at 2:18 onwards that get me every time. Love that part. The song is so full of emotion. On occasion the whole thing makes me feel like tearing up a little.
Also my fav part- played it on a friends studio Soundsystem and it really brought out the quiet harmonies he does during that part- otherwordly.

I love the visuals in this.
Every decade has an artist that captures social atmosphere and drives it forward, they have a pop writing sensibility that is extremely rare. Think beatles for the 60s or nirvana in the 90s. John Maus owned the last decade, and i think that will be recognized on a wider scale soon

I wouldn't say the album version is better produced just two different versions. Both are great, I actually kind of prefer this one.
+GlassStreets if it is faster and higher in pitch, it is probably due to someone having made a mistake with frame rates - for eg if they had a video which was intended for UK TV @25FPS and it was being played @30FPS, the frame rate of US TV, then it would be 120% faster and higher in pitch
Or maybe it was intentional, who knows. Anyways I like this one better
