I notice in some videos, you mention not bothering with the AUX connector, as the new units send everything through the factory bluetooth, but you don't mention that for the IS version. Are we ok to skip the AUX cable?
This install was done before that update. Yes you can skip the aux cable for recent kits
Why do you need the usb extention cable? Could you just use the stock one inside the center console?
You don’t need it since it’s wireless, but it’s good to have just incase you need an additional port to charge your car or if you let someone borrow your car and they want to use carplay or android auto functions without going through the setup for wireless connection
Hi do you have screen only upgrades for 2014-16 IS for larger screen, i.e. 10.3" with higher resolution ? i.e. swap the old for new screen only without the wireless Carplay etc? Thanks

My oem radio stopped working, the Lexus logo and caution screens just repeats itself, will changing to Apple car play change that and make it work ?
Sorry installing carplay won’t fix that issue. You will need to fix the radio first. Check eBay for a used part
How well does this integrate with a backup camera?

Hello I got a problem with my stock radio head unit, it kept restarting in a loop over and over until now says “consult with a dealer”. Everything’s still stock on it, do you think this will fix that issue?
Sorry to hear that. This wont fix your issue. You need to replace your radio
Unplug your battery for 30 minutes and see if that don't fix it Lexus sent a update to all vehicles a while back what you need to do is reset to where the update is no longer there
Just curious and want an honest answer but does the car audio lose quality? Because all the Apple CarPlay aftermarket products I’ve seen for the IS 350 people have said the audio quality tends to go down a little bit.
You won’t lose audio quality with our kit since we use lexus Bluetooth audio out. You will use the lexus Bluetooth system for audio. You can even use the lexus usb input for audio as well

@@BeatSonicUSWait WHAT? Bluetooth will always give you worse audio quality. You will lose audio quality if you use bluetooth, you need to stay wired for the best quality.

It sounds like an issue with the radio. The screen swap won’t fix the issue

bought a used lexus is and it’s missing the sd card. Will it work without the sd card?
If the audio still plays in Bluetooth and you are able to make and receive phone calls, yes it will work without the SD card

Dose this affect the stock sound quality
You will experience the exact same audio quality as you do now as the audio now routes to the car’s Bluetooth. You also have the option to using the car usb direct connection for better audio quality

Jesus Christ…that wasn’t complicated at all…lol You must be a f¥€£ing engineer! I’ll stick to my factory radio. Or pay someone to do this at some point. That was way too much work for me to try and do! Thanks for demonstrating…you made it look easy…for someone as smart as you. Unfortunately that’s NOT me!!!
You can always hire someone to install it for you. Many local lexus dealers are now participating in offering our kit. Ask for the parts department
