Toyota 4Runner Walk Around // What is Most Necessary?

- Taking you on a walk through the modifications I put my Toyota 4Runner through. These were all very expensive modifications that are not very flashy but have turned my vehicle into an unstoppable machine.
Music is WAY TO LOUD
Yeah, it’s noted and won’t happen again. 😬 Thank you for watching though!
Love to see this. Just saw your most recent video at carpenter canyon and was wondering immediately about wheels and suspension set up. Great walk through and super clean build! would love to hear if there's an overall price into the suspension and add ons. Cheers!
@@edwardsigmasvn7184 thanks again dude. I have about $26k into the vehicle as of now. I try not to boast about it publicly unless asked. That price is a lot of labor as well though. It’d be significantly cheaper had I opted to do the work myself but I wanted the shop warranties on most of it. The suspension itself with labor was just under $10k
Music hits HAAARD, D&B 🔥
@@kswiss702stacker7 apparently too hard according to some others 😬 hahaha thanks for watching dude
Love the build! Wanted to know the specs on the wheels. I’m considering those or something like method wheels. Going to try to avoid the BMC
Thanks for checking it out. Definitely a fan of 00 offset on the wheels. Gives it just enough poke and a bit wider stance.
@@DesertRaised 17x8.5?
@@robbiehutchinson5751 17x9’s are what I’m running
That’s a GREAT build. Well done.
Thank you! I appreciate you stopping by to watch.
Appreciate the walk around as someone who also has an SR5 premium and is taking notes! No rubbing on the body mount with those 33s? I’d also like to avoid a bmc if possible and do not think I need 35s
No problem dude. Thanks for watching. I have zero rubbing on my frame. Did catch a little on the front wheel well plastics but the cut got rid of that entirely.
Agreed with you. Function over form. Great build!
Yes sir! Thanks Jeff!
If you could turn down the background music!
ARB airlockers front and back!!!❤ and those mods are top shelf!!! Subscribed!
Odd, I actually brought down the the music to -22db's while talking and -9db's during highlighted parts, which is A LOT more than usual. It seems to be a main complaint I'm working on. I may need to find a different tv to proof watch on before uploading. Thank you for subscribing though!
You’d say a front and rear locking diff are an essential mod that someone needs to make to go out and have fun?
Depending on the fun you’re in search of, yes. Not so much front but in my world a rear locker has always been essential.
@@DesertRaised ATRAC isn’t good enough you think?
@@sbe0001 I used that for a while but it’s just not the same. I did a trail called Rocky gap with and without lockers. ATRAC got me out of some spots but I was digging holes left and right before having lockers as an option.
@@DesertRaised I’m just confused because your saying what’s that rear lockers are “an essential mod” but is it really…
@@sbe0001 To me yes. To you, no.
This is a video I threw together of what I think, and to show the vehicle’s modifications because some have asked for it.. It’s not speaking for everyone if that’s your concern
Nice build, I respect that you went with functional stuff over all the flashy doodads that people tend to do first.
Thanks! I appreciate the view. Definitely glad I went this route before lights and racks and tents ect.
Was waiting for you to do this video!
I gotchu man! Thanks for watching 👍🏼👍🏼
Sweet build bro. ❤
Thanks buddy!
Can’t understand anything over the music
Well at least you heard some mediocre music 🤷🏻♂️
@@DesertRaisedim too old to consider this music.
@@Nicool333 that explains not being able to hear my voice 😬😉 Really though, the mix got a bit messed up when exporting it and I just left it. If you have any questions let me know, and thank you for checking out the video
Nice build. Cosmetics are typically cheaper and functional equipment is more expensive.
Very true. Thank you for checking out the video
Thanks for the insight everyone. I'm glad you checked out the video and hope you liked it otherwise. But bare with the mishap on that music volume. Shit happens sometimes and I've decided to just let the video go off and do its own thing.
At3ws are great in the snow and wet.
I have a hard time breaking them loose for sure.
Damn you wealthy. Bought new shit, and still spending more. Subscribed.
Thanks! Far from wealthy buddy. I paid off my old rzr and sold it for a good amount. That has been my nest egg for this build
The whole functional vs aesthetic polemic is silly. Everyone knows bronze alloy wheels aren’t a functional upgrade - they just look sick and that’s ok. No need to justify
No justification needed. Bronze wheels simply are just “sick”.’
Truth be told this is too much already.
@@taifmunsur not sure if you’re talking about in general or cost.
@@DesertRaised cost. I think some of these upgrades r definitely expensive for 90/10 drivers
@@taifmunsur Absolutely. It has been a goal of mine for many years.
@@DesertRaised its been a dream of mine to just get a 4runner, now i can’t stop watching all the mod videos 😂
Btw do you like those trek wheels, are they difficult to keep clean? I was thinking of getting that model for a while.
