Her performance in this movie is what got me through high school. I've always been super socially awkward, and I was lonely for a long time. Ophelia in this movie reminds me a lot of myself, and seeing someone who felt the same ways I did, who was vulnerable in the same ways I was, made me feel like I wasn't alone in the world. (I even imagine her as being autistic like me, even though I know that wasn't the intent.) I don't know how to wrap this up but yeah Winslet brought this role to life in such an important way and I respect her so much for that!!
I can listen to her all day. I appreciate the fact she talk at length on interviews.. love the way she narrate things and talk so fondly about people around her.. such an angel inside out 👼🏻❤
Kate Winslet was in Hamlet and then Titanic came and it took her to Superstardom and then she dissappeared and did Holy Smoke, Hideous Kinky, and then did low budget movies and one her first oscar for the Reader***** Kate Winslet is the best! She was also in Avatar 2 The Way Of The Water and it made 1 Billion World Wide and she got a quarter of that. Kate Winslet has the hollywood walk of fame and an oscar and Emmy and now she needs to be in a broadway show to get a Tony*** Kate Winslet made it as an actress and she was finally taken seriously!
I haven't seen Hamlet but perhaps she used the experience in the mad scene in Titanic in the deleted scene when she rushes to her cabin, has trouble taking off the formal dress and rips apart the room
Was she filming Titanic at this time hence the gorgeous red hair. Kate Winslet is an actress who gets better and better in everything she's in. She is such a talented actress and one of the finest out there. Heavenly Creatures will always be my fave Kate Winslet movie. Yes Titanic was the first I saw but Heavenly was her first film and for her film debut, she made such a strong impression and what a performance.
She was only 20 years old and can already speak like this about her job as an actress she is a true legend. Love her so much.
