This is a brilliant movie. I’ve watched it many times now and it gets more and more complex and beautiful. Everybody involved deserves an Oscar

Agreed. What about that scene where Winslet stands in front of the portrait, and literally becomes the subject -- wow! And the final scene; both female protagonists seen behind the glass enclosure, both being like "caged birds." Absolute marvel of a film.

This movie is a masterpiece. If Kate and Saoirse do not get the nominations for this I don't know what an actor suppose to do

Probably act in movies that the male award committee can relate to?

Only, for all the matters that the films wants inbounds it was needed more minutes, minutes where we'll received, although is a brilliant movie but I think the love history appears shorter than it was as it's telled, maybe because is cutted in chapters or parts... I was thinking they were doing more journeys and having mailing more times. Is this film bending itself as time and history as a spiral? Ammonite, about the the beauty of the two actress, is that arise in every scene, and is some that charms the film is the Image of Saoirse, as the a Venus, born in the arms of Kate. Is only for me her good looking as the Venus of Botticelli's?. For this I think become a mistery and myth that involves the history. Sure is Mary in the staring and love feeling when she is seeing her, delivered Venus in the shore among the buried ammonites.
I love this film, brilliant of course.
