Hello ! I am a beginner.. it’s so stunning but how did you make the wafer paper like that ? My mom’s birthday is coming up and I would love to try this !!
Dissolve 1 page of wafer paper into 100g of water, add color if you wish...blend with a blending stick. Heat a non-stick pan to medium heat and then pour a bit of this blended slurry into the pan...use a silicone brush or silicone spatula to smooth it around until it begins to dry, creating a thin mesh...as it dries it will detach from the pan...please let me know if you would like more instruction after trying this much!
@charraif thank you so so much ! I think the instructions are very clear .. but I will try it and let you know how it came out or if I need more help !! Thank you so much again
Thank you! I used Colour Mill orange pigment for the icing, and Peach rubbed into the noodles...then I dusted the tips with Colour Mill Butter Gold Lustre 🥰
Hi there! Thank you! Using biodegradable decor is very important to me so I am happy to deal with some extra fragility...you are correct, they are certainly more delicate than metal wire (which is what most people use)! In this application, the lengths of spaghetti are quite short, so I didn't suffer any breakage within the leaves themselves. If I were to do it again, I might choose wooden toothpicks to use in attaching to the cake, but the spaghetti worked fine in my case. But I didn't have to deliver this anywhere!
Oh yes! That is what is shown here :) ... when I mentioned rice noodles, I was just referring to my first effort making "skeleton leaves" several years ago! Sorry for the confusion!

It's stunning! Can you tell me what brand is that very thin brush that you used?
Ahhh thank you! Yes, these wonderful fine brushes are made by @InnovativeSugarworks !
Love the process and the final look! What color did you use?

Супер! Подскажите , пожалуйста, для приклеивания вы использовали сахарный сироп?
Шлю вам свою благодарность!
Не могли бы вы! Я просто использовал воду :)
Gorgeous...It's great to have totally edible cake decorations, however, Won't the spaghetti break easily???

Is it possible to use wheat noodles instead of rice noodles?
