U2 remains timeless. Every era impactful in its own way. The rattle & hum era however in some regards is the most mystical, beautiful, and romantic of them all.
I have been to Ostia, Italia and had no idea the video was filmed there. Love this song & mini documentary of the making of the "All I Want Is You" video. U2 ROCKS!!!
This song: for me it was a metaphor for a girl that I had a severe crush on in high school at the time when Rattle and Hum was released. It hit too close to home, because symbolically, I was the little guy enamored of a girl who dated jocks. This song, oh man... to this day it continues to resonate.
3:30 lol This is one of the best love songs ever written. It describes the longing you feel perfectly. why the fuck is Edge dressed like a southern american in the early 1900's!?!?!?
Followed up a few years later by Red Hot Chilli Peppers "Soul to Squeeze" Video. Kind of. I'm just a nut for any kind of Carnival, Fair, Freak Show or Circus based videos.
He does. They are dwarves, though. Midgets are small but have normal proportions. There are a lot of forms of Dwarfism. Most have short arm and legs. Most of the Munchkins in Wizard of Oz were midgets.
@elevation95 he looks bloody ridiculous. Hes looked pretty dumb over the years. in the early 90's with the bandanna...pirate. then a cowboy in popmart era

One of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever.
The best U2 music video IMO
How did I miss this song and video all of these years? Love it

3:33 is the best part of this video and why i love U2
I love the video that goes with this song. It's about a love that can never be.
Larry Mullen is hilarious.. “I’m only making a cameo in a U2 video.”
I broke up with my girlfriend 2 years ago and I play the guitar I imagine playing this song for her at a concert.

haha I agree! I love when you can catch the band messing around like that on video, especially Larry he's so funny when he's like that! lol
This was really interesting. I'm surprised that I can find the "making of" video but not the actual music video anywhere on TH-cam.
I tried twice to upload the original video. Got copyright infringement messages. They just wont let it be on here.
@@GarryH1963 send it to The U2 Blue Room channel and ask him
It’s been 14 years ago I know. However, the video is on I want my 80s. I just saw it for the first time. I Love it
I love this song and the video is a masterpiece. I'm surprised that no one mentioned Fellini. OMG does this video capture his style!
I think it was filmed near Rome 😊💞
Love this :)

it's a gypsy thing and it was pretty popular in the late 80's early 90's in arty/music circles. hats, ponytails and waistcoats etc.

"Bono, let us out for fuck`s sake!"
@HelterSkelterSOR Cause he looks good in it and he was rejecting the ridiculous fashions of the time. Good on him.
Love this :)
Where is the music video? Been looking for it for years and years!
I can't actually find the video anywhere on you tube , bizarre given it is such a landmark video

@HelterSkelterSOR, you're revealing yourself as uncool / out of it / lame / schizzy, by that question. Enjoy.
