Snowbird season is starting here in Naples. I can expect to see one of these types of crashes each day. It gets pretty bad this time of year. That's why it's important to pay attention to your driving and leave the phone alone, or any other distractions while behind the wheel. It's a good thing we have people like you though, because it would be pretty hard trying to maneuver around all the crashes if they didn't get picked up. Thanks for your service to us all Dustin.
Good video & recovery Dustin too many distracted drivers on the road today you even have to be extra careful as a pedestrian stay safe out there and I enjoy your videos
Pretty easy. Also there is no gun powder inside of air bags because it would produce to much heat what happens is two different chemicals are forced to collide with each other causing explosion
You are correct, there is no gunpowder, but you are wrong for the reason. It has nothing to do with heat. Gunpowder wasn't used because it doesn't produce enough pressure to inflate the airbags. In fact the chemical reactions used to deploy earlier generations of airbags used Sodium Azide which produced heat and caused burns. In the 90's, airbag manufacturer Takata used Ammonium Nitrate, an explosive. This too caused burns and other problems hence the massive recall. Today's airbags use Guanidinium Nitrate to deploy the airbags.
I guess that red truck caused the accident now is a hit-and-run because it did not look like it had any damage to it whatsoever they have not showed that part I hope that young lady is okay if that was her car
The damage is designed. It's called crumple zones. I would rather be in the car than the truck. While the damage to the car looks bad, it absorbed the majority of the impact instead of those girls. That truck passed the force of the impact onto its occupants. I will bet the truck occupants were in a lot more pain the next day than those girls were. That scion did what it was supposed to - protect its occupants.
Dustin you would Certainly have Field day here in New Jersey . every week end here MVA or during Middle of the week . My Daughter is a fire fighter here and and their Company is very busy.
I’m sure they would say if asked. Most of the time, especially when we’re blocking a lane, I’m kinda set on clearing the road, that I don’t ask many questions.
28:50 the bumper was tryna go wit Dustin

Thank You for watching!
Something I learned after someone pulled out in front of me a few years ago: All the airbags popped - insurance isn't going to try to fix it.
Air bags are generally expensive to replace.
They don’t always total a vehicle, but they definitely don’t help.
@@Towtruck_Dustinmy wife is a insurance agent. You are spot on.

As said above, it’s an early 2000’s Mustang.
That was awkward when the ppl left the cop was just staring at u no conversation or anything lol.

Did you take pics? Usually you do….
I did. Right at the start when I got out.
That’s where I got the still picture for this video actually lol
what did she hit? lmk.
The red truck in front of her
The truck wasn’t that damaged but the car possibly irreparably. I wonder how the front end crash tests went on it.
The truck definitely came on out the better end of the deal. Lol

I bet she was on the phone.. she couldn't even put the phone down to deal with the tow truck..
that one is definitely totaled. possibly distracted driving? looks like her parents came and got her
I’d say distracted driving was most likely a factor.
