If you are planning on reading longer books then you could change your goal to pages read vs books read. For example, if you say average book is typically 300 pages. Goal for 35 books = 10,500 pages. This way the 1,000 page fantasy book would count further toward your reading goal.

I am also part of team audiobook 😂I feel like you all should buddy read the Mages of the Wheel series by JD Evans. It's got a lot of interesting world building and political scheming (for Guillermo), and some fun romance elements and magic (for Aliana). Plus it's a series!

You guys should do a video where you read the same book at a similar pace and then post fragments of videos where you guys discuss certain chapters at a time, but in the sense that it is a "read-a-long" between you both AND any potential viewers! That way we can see both of your takeaways at different parts of the book all through the end! Instead of talking about it AFTER you've both read it, talk about it WHILE you both read it.
OMG YES! we want to start doing more vlog-ish style videos, but it's hard! /now that we're more comfortable we'll start branching out. I love this idea. I was even thinking of doing it confessional style like on reality TV where we individually sit in front of the camera in the same place and go offffff about the book lol
Nice Haul! All aboard the Sarah J Maas train. I read The Forgetting Moon By Brian Lee Durfee and loved it! It's a trilogy. I set the trilogy aside to read The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James Mcbride it's Barnes & Noble's 2023 book of the year, to see what all the fuss is about.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT IT! Ali here, my best friend Stephanie (featured in the goat yoga clip) is a huge animal lover and huge yoga fan. So for her bachelorette trip to Nashville we planned a Goat Yoga session. Basically, you go to an outdoor barn kind of place and they have yoga mats on the floor, and they let baby goats roam around while you follow along a yoga class. It's supposed to be fun, funny and stress relieving cause the goats jump and perch on you in the different positions you get in. Now because opposites attract, I'm the best friend who isn't too into yoga and the only animals I'm comfortable around are dogs and cats, so I was absolutely freaking out. But you gotta do what you gotta do for best friends right?
So many things to comment on here 😆 First, my husband’s favorite author is Brandon Sanderson and he keeps telling me to read Stormlight Archives, so I guess I need to get to it this year, haha! Secondly, I did goat yoga for my bachelorette party and it was the best ever!! And also, book thrifting is the best! I’ve ordered from Pango Books and Thrift Books 😊 My reading goal for this year is 75 books, I read around 55 last year I think. Oh and congrats on getting married!!

For Throne of Glass: don’t start with Assassin’s Blade first. SJM recommends reading it third, and honestly this is the better way to get into the series. AB is an anthology series and isn’t the best way to learn about the world.

I can’t bring myself to buy books at Barnes and Noble because of the price! I’d go to a thrift store or used book store, even Amazon, before I purchase from B&N. It’s like you said Aliana, I don’t have the extra cash to spend $20 on a book that I could get for $8 elsewhere! BUT I do love me some B&N and Starbucks dates ❤
Also, read 49 books in 2023, want to read 60 in 2024!
