    Why are unhauls so satisfying to watch? 🤔
    I don't know, but they are! 😊

    Oh I had forgotten all about Trixie Beldon. Mum used to buy them for me when I was a kid and I remember them being a really fun read. I think I might have to have a hunt around as I’m sure I still have them somewhere 😊

    A Midnight Dance is my 2nd favorite Joanna Davidson Politano. So, so good! I love the romance in that book.

    Omgoodness! I saw Left to Tell on your shelf! I'm glad you didn't unhaul that one. It is so so good! It is my favorite non-fiction book and definitely in my top five favorite books ever! I highly recommend :). Lovely unhaul! Can't wait to watch the next one!

    Satisfying. I love watching unhaul videos. I really want to read "IT" but it's so long. I'll read it one day though. But this is gonna feel fresh when you move. ❤ I can't wait to watch the next one.

    Thank you for reminding me of Trixie Beldon! I temporarily forgot about these books, I was a bigger fan of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys in my early teens but my sister gave me a lot of Trixie Beldons and I loved them too. I'm going to put it on my Goodreads TBR. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think.

    Awwwwwwww, seeing "Emerald Windows" reminded me of happy days. My great grandmother lent me that about 20 years ago! :D I had almost forgotten that it existed.

    Yikes, I could not imagine having to try to get rid of 2/3 of my unread books! Good luck!

    Looks like a great stack of ones you weren't excited to read! You have a bunch to get rid of or read to get to 100 but at the same time if you get rid of some you aren't interested in then the ones you take with you you will be excited about plus you can always watch for any that you missed at a thrift store or little free library. I read Gone With the Wind and liked it.. but not enough to want to read Scarlet.

    • @ChantelReadsAllDay
      @ChantelReadsAllDay  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I'm hoping to have a physical TBR where I'm excited about each of the books!

    Good job unhauling! I feel you on being hesitant to get rid of books even though you know you won’t like them-I’m facing that dilemma right now with a series and I haven’t landed on a satisfactory result yet.

    Great job unhauling! 👏👏👏
    I'm trying to finish up the current books I have out from the library and then I want to seriously tackle the books I own. I am out of shelf space, and as much as I love books, the minimalist in me is cringing at the couple of piles I have laying around.

    ❤📚 I think you did a great job unhauling. I look forward to your next unhaul video.
    I'm not moving, but I know I need to do this too. When I got back into constant reading, I bought "all" the books ...now I know my taste more, the amount is overwhelming. Great job!!

    • @ChantelReadsAllDay
      @ChantelReadsAllDay  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That was a lot of my problem too, buying books when I didn't quite know my tastes and therefore buying a lot of books I'm not actually interested in.

    I have been looking for the Katherine parr by Alison weir forever. I have 6 big bookcases full of books. I have been decluttering my books. I have gotten rid of a couple hundred so far.

      You get to be so lucky if you live in a big enough house that you can habmve 6 bookceses full of books. Many of my unreads and second hand sale ones are in a family member 's attic and I sort of own 2 book cases but they are like piled with 2 rows of books.... instead of neatly 1 row as should be...

    In my opinion, you can unhaul Scarlett. Gone with the wind is good and I would recommend reading that, but Scarlett was a disappointment for me, and definitely not a classic. You did very well with this unhaul.💕

    You can get rid of Scarlett. It's not nearly as good as GWTW but Melissa at Libraries and Labradors did like it. Plus I don't know about there but I can always find it at a thrift store.

    I'm not a Willa Cather fan, so My Antonia would go super fast. Then again, I didn't like Scarlett at all either.
    I'm so disappointed to hear Ogden Nash is crass, I've only read funny ones (but I think they were meant for kids now that I think of it, so maybe that's why).
    What Would Maisie Do would be a fast read. Just fun commentary on some of the things in the books (not spoilery I don't think), so you could skim through it and leave behind. I doubt it'll be a "keep forever" kind of book. Just a fun one to read if you like Maisie.
    I did not like The Skylark's War. The last third or so felt like the author didn't care anymore and just rushed through it. And there were elements that meant I wouldn't give it to a kid under about 15 or more.

    Vanity Fair was just okay for me. I don’t think the story is worth the time it takes to read it. Maybe an abridged version would be better. Devil in the White City I was also not into very much.
