I remember using him on my Eliwood mode run and he ended up caping strength. He is easily one of the most fun characters in the game
Fun fact. His name is pronounced the French way. In Japanese his name is spelled ギィ, which makes it sound like Gi.

Myrmidons are just the most reliant on the weapon triangle, but are also incredibly fun to use with their high crit chance. But yeah, lots of lances in FE7 does make him harder to use
Agreed, I have finished my fe7 run with him for the first time ever recently, and he was a blast to use . His Hp definitely helps if you get a hp screwed guy ohhh boy you'd be up shits creak ,

Changing up how you normally and using characters you've rarely touched is super fun 😁

An interesting thing about Guy's promotion is that it doesn't give him any additional speed and skill. The other competition for the other Hero Crest, Raven will also cap out his speed and skill, but on his promotion he'll actually get +2 speed and skill and actually come out slightly faster than Guy would on promotion.
No need to get fancy. He would always be there for you in these games. The standard issue unit.

If Guy was in Fe6 he'd easily be a must use unit like Rutger. Guy is a good unit just not in the lance heavy Fe7 since he's one ranger and locked to using only swords. Pretty much if you don't wield lances / axes & dont ride a pony or flier, you're a bad unit in Fe7.
I think Guy is one of those units that are better early promoted . People just see a swordlocked unit in fe7 and just write him off, but unlike the fighters, he actually has good stats. Like the main difference between him and the sword lords is that he can promote way before them. His only compettion for promotion is Raven, but by the time you get Raven and the hero crest, Guy is already so close to promotion. I usually focus on training up Raven and giving him the second heroes crest.
Guy does still fall off but that's the goal of early promoting him. He's already got early exp from early game and you won't have to focus constantly feeding him exp. He becomes great early combat support so you can have an easier time getting to the big guys like Jaffar and Harken who aren't there to contribute until late game. I will always defend Guy because I think he's a very slept on unit.
I'll have to use him a couple more times to really get a feel , I feel his potential I like his high hp but somtiems I feel like I'm beating .u head against a wall ,

Guy is the most okay unit ever. pretty okay at everything he does, but outclassed by soooo many other units making him so irrelevant. but i love the little guy (lol) and will always train him.
I really like using Guy -- I only do ironmans and he survives about 25% of the time. Paired with Priscilla, he can snowball and wreak havoc in the late game.
It sounds like Guy is an average guy. He offers nothing special, but can get the job done if given proper investment.

Eliwood hard mode might actually be harder for guy cause in hector they spam magic units instead of melee which would be much more of a problem for him.
I don't understand this , there's so many more threats to guy in HH lol.

Honestly out of the mentioned characters lyn is on par until her personal weapon breaks,eliwood is better do to getting a really good premotion giving lances and a horse,raven is just good,karel in a vacuum is better but outside one he's worse than guy you sacrifice a very good unit to get karel but with guy you get him for free and finally karla and she is arguably the worst unit in the game bad bases,bad class and a horrible recruitment forcing you to use a bad unit for long amount of time so ya she is easily worse than guy at least guy can be quite useful for a chapter or two and doesn't take using a bad unit for a long time to get or bad unit at all to begin with.
All I know for sure, is that Guy is definitely the guy.

As a casual FE fans, that throw strategy/stats out of the windows and just play for the waifu and husbandos even i don't use Guy. His only S love interest is Priscilla and he can't even marry her cuz he's not noble and she marry some other random guy while he weep. His other support is with Mathew,Rath,Karel are just him hero worshipping them. I don't even know what he's doing with Louise? Raven can be gay with Holy Priest Lucius but Priscilla can't marry Guy?? Dude Lyn marry Rath and live happily ever after in the plains but nope not LADY Priscilla. 😂😂 He's just not simp-able too for degen.
