  • Flight 382 from Los Angeles to Seattle
Taken from Seat 4D (First Class)
    Aircraft N539US
    February 19, 2021
    Departure Time: 11:40 a.m.
    Arrival Time: 2:22 p.m.
    Flight Time: 2:42
    00:00 - Intro
    00:20 - Pushback & Engine Start
    06:50 - Taxi
    09:45 - Takeoff
    25:38 - Descent
    47:00 - Landing
It's been a long time since I was able to get the 757 on the Seattle-Los Angeles route. It was always 737-800s and -900s for the last few years.
Obviously, because of COVID the passenger load was light. I don't think economy was even half full. First class had at least one person in each row. This was the fastest takeoff I've had in a 757! We were off the ground in 20 seconds!
It was a nice flight back home. Low clouds over Seattle but that's expected during the winter. Thankfully all the snow had melted in the week I was gone.
After landing you can see Alaska's 737 Max parked by their maintenance hangar. You'll also see a lot of the international carriers parked at the S Gates. We had to hold short of our gate twice because we were early. The 737-800 you see as we taxi by was the aircraft I flew down to LA.

Sadly Delta is slowly replacing those legacy routes with 739's and A321's. I love the 757, so we have to enjoy them while they are still here! Another great video as always! Keep up the good work.

Impressive audiovisual work. Love the full coverage of this flight right from the start. Very familiar coastline which showed me even my former home. Had never realized how many offroad paths in the mountains out of LA. Really, really fun video!

I'm really going to miss the 757. It's one pretty bird. Funny how you can tell when a plane is nowhere near full or have a lot of pax. It just has literally an "empty" sound and feel to it. I remember when I was on an MD-88 from ATL - TYS and it only had about 57 pax on the whole plane and it was super quiet.

The engine sound is created by the fan cavitating at low altitude ( denser air). Most of the thrust is produced by the air from the fan being routed out the back of the engine. In a real sense, modern jet engines are, at least partially, propeller driven.

Interesting to see the Omni 763 at the south gates. Any details? Nice shot of the new Qatar 777 service as well! Amazing video!
