Still some possible improvement, you died and had some little flaws, but still, awesome skill. I hope new tricks and categories arise! It's faster to burn him, because Six is grabbable earlier and if you let that sequence play out she just does nothing. The only alternative to that strat is to push through the bars and checkpoint reload, but that's still slightly slower than burning. Burning Is Faster

Usually exiting to main menu is to set up a trick like hunter skip or fuse duplication, which only work consistently by doing that. Restarting to checkpoint has many uses, usually it's to reset Six or the teacher/doctor. Sometimes it's for very minor speedups that are only worth it with the in-game timer.

There is a bug in the release version (1.0.0) where if you haven't exited to main menu yet (that's why we restart) and load the left side and then exit to main menu at the fuse box, the fuse from the mannequins appears next to you. Then you can use it to break the glass in the other part from the wrong side and skip the first hand as well. Speedrunners doing current patch runs cannot do this glitch because it was patched.
basically I jump at just the right time so that I can grab the ledge from behind the bars. The ledge is very close and collision detection when climbing is almost nonexistent so the game simply allows it. I guess the playtesters didn't think about that one
I am working on something similar, the fastest segments for the first game are currently being gathered in order to make a segmented speedrun, so we can see what the fastest theoretical human time could be.
There are a lot of places where the devs made it so you get sucked into grabbable or otherwise important points if you jump at them (the beds in hospital are a good example besides this key jump). I don't understand their implementation since it leads to stuff like that, though it did take months for that specific jump to be found, by accident as well.

It's a jump boost. you can do it by press a spacebar to jumps and then hurry to press M1 to hold on the edges.
