I added a cup of unsalted beef broth, 1/4 cup of the pepperocini brine, and a dash of worchestershire sauce to mine. I also baked it in the oven because I don't have a crock pot. Baked it for 3 1/2 hrs in a covered Dutch oven at 325 degrees. It's a really good roast. Used the juices as an au jou on the side for dipping. Delicious!
This looks really delicious and it is now officially second on the list of what I am going to try in my new Hamilton Beach slow cooker right after I do the Olive Garden Chicken. Now there is one thing I find hard to believe. Did the folks in Mississippi actually use Italian pepperocinis in their pot roast? Still, Krogers has a house brand pepperocine so I'm going to do the recipe just the way you did. Wish me luck!
It is 2:16 AM and i am getting ready to start my roast in the crockpot.... Love your channel.. We are gonna have sandwiches for the 🏈game... You are the best.
My baby daughter made us Mississippi pot roast and after 40 years of doing it my way, I have to say hers was also delicious. Thanks for sharing. Sherry

I love your idea of making sandwiches out of it! I’ve got my roast cooking right now! I put it in a bit late so instead of eating right after church at 2, We’ll eat around 5! It’ll be worth the wait!

Hmmm. Ranch dressing mix. Never used that before in a meat dish. I have used the onion mix. Interesting. I must try. You didn’t add any water right. Just the meat and seasonings plus peppers???

Ranch seasoning is 1 ounce, not 16. It makes 16 ounces. Didn’t want to confuse anyone. Making this today. Thank you for your video.

Right. I didn't add any water to this dish. The butter melts and there was a little pepperchini liquid in there. I hope you enjoy.
