I remember seeing Giant Gonzales at the National Guard Armory in Blytheville, AR back in the day, some 30+ years later, he is still the tallest dude I have ever seen. Oddly enough, before him, Sid was the tallest dude I had ever seen.
Big Show, Kane, Kevin Nash, and The Undertaker were all basketball players. I'm sure there are several more but those are the ones that come to mind. I think it really helped their coordination and mobility and played a part in their success. El Gigante was suffering from a medical condition and nothing could help that poor guy.
@vicenzor9699 Kane is every bit as good as the Undertaker in the ring and for a man his size Big Show is pretty impressive. Bailey also played college ball too I think.
Jorge González was billed at 8ft but his true height was 7 ft 7 in, which still made him the tallest in wrestling and a tie for first place in basketball. 2:192:40
I find something frustrating but humorous about those wrestlers who were bringing in big money, and by doing so, could just wander off if they didn't like the situation. You could never accuse Sid of having that stockholm syndrome that some guys did.
I don't even watch any current Wrestling... I just like this stuff. 😂😂😂❤
I like going back and watching old Memphis wrestling, Lawler and Dutch probably have the best 7 or 8 minutes of all of it.
100 percent haven't watched it for years,,,but these guys and Cornette are great,,,
Yea there is a channel that has been doing storyline arcs of the old NWA stuff that's great.
@Betty-pu9ov Brian Turner VHS rehab?
I stopped watching in 2004 lol
Must have been right before softball season started LOL.
God El Gigante, he was so hyped, and barely looked like he even knew he was doing.
Robocop was more mobile than him at that awful PPV
“DISASTER”?
To quote Dutch, “it wasn’t that good.”
All El Gigante/Giant Gonzalez matches were disasters although his classic against Nailz in Japan is unmatchable on how bad it was.
Ring Ka-FUCKING-King
They had to know this match was gonna be the shits.
Sid Ruled!
Dave gave it 6 stars
Haha
Greetings from south Carolina home of the great dutch mann

I don't care what anyone says or thinks. El Gigante/Giant Gonzalez was fun to watch. I'll never not laugh at his comical over-selling.
Undertaker told a story where El Gigante wouldn’t stop hitting him in the neck in there matches. He finally had enough and started really hitting him.
El gigante nice guy ended up penniless in argentina. I think fonzie helped with funeral costs. Baketball players do not make brilliant wrestlers.
Kane and Undertaker would disagree with that...
@@ValiantWrestlingKevin Nash played b-ball. 😊

@daerth4423 the undertaker is the only one of those that can be considered potentially a "brilliant" wrestler. Nash was a lazy, shit wrestler

One Man Gang still got his Akeem hair there
Jorge González was being paid through his Ted Turner owned Atlanta Hawks contract, not by WCW. 0:30
It's the only match where Sid works hard in because he had to. Normally, Sid was a big monster and smaller guys worked around him.
You could take either one of these wrestlers out of the video title and most of their matches deserve the description DISASTER.
I find something frustrating but humorous about those wrestlers who were bringing in big money, and by doing so, could just wander off if they didn't like the situation. You could never accuse Sid of having that stockholm syndrome that some guys did.
El Gigante was pretty terrible in the ring. He didn't have a good match with Undertaker, either.
Sid had to put El Giante over😂 i bet behind the scenes he was fuming
He had one foot out the door anyway.
Yeah who thought in their head Sid vs. El Gigante would be a good idea?
Sid just wanted to play baseball.
Softball. He was on a championship team.
Savage trained El Gigante but he could only do so much and get so much out of him.
The pwi match of the year 😂😂.
The two worst wrestlers in the company at the time.
Sid probably didnt get paid either
