Thank you for this great tutorial. We all have those papers that we don’t know what to do with and this is a great example of creativity. Thanks for sharing.❣️
What a great idea to use our paper pads. I saw in another video that if you make the bottom 1/8” smaller, the top one comes in easier but still tight close.
Can I recommend cutting a half circle out in the middle of two opposite edges using a 1 inch circle cutter. It makes opening the box much easier. Also I would glue up the bottom first and then one corner of the top, lay the top over the bottom and glue the other three corners allowing a little leeway on the flaps as you go if it’s too tight a fit. Hope that makes sense.

These boxes are gorgeous! Now I have ideas on how I can use this same paper pack that I have! They look easy enough to make. I love the idea of using these as decor pieces!! TFS! 😍🩷
The tip about the cut lines facing each other is a good one. I mess that up almost every time! I'm definitely going to go through my papers to see which ones I can use to make boxes. TFS
If you shift the card for the lid tiny bit to the right on the score board and score the usual and repeat on all sides, it will make the lid of the box slightly bigger to cover the bottom easily. Also use circle punch, punch it half way on both side of lid to make it easier to open the box.

Great use of those 12 x 12 pieces that are hard to cut down for card fronts or other paper crafts. I am curious what you do if you have any cracking in the paper when you score and fold it. I have found with the recollections paper I have that cracking is pretty common. Thanks for idea!
You solved a problem I have with those paper pads. Moving forward, have you created a video regarding the use of Paper Bundles as seen on Creative Fabrica or on Etsy ? Further on that topic, have you created a video demonstrating how one goes about creating their own bundles? (Focusing on the actual making of the sheets themselves and not on the discussion of niche s or what's trending now.)
That paper is very thin to make that big of a box and have it not crush easily. I make boxes quite a bit and use heavier weight paper. In this case, to use up these decorative papers, maybe adhering another piece of 12x12 (plain white would do, burnish it well and let it dry) to the backside before scoring and cutting so it’s doubly thick.
Us gals will have a good day to I learned to do this technique with Christmas cards many many years ago. I did just learn about the depth thing from you. Thank you. Ok one box I did do 1.5 score all the way around. The second I did 1.25. To your question. It works. Just make sure when you are gluing your top to glue the sides even with score. The bottom part you can glue the tabs in just a little. I hope this makes sense. If it doesn’t just let me know and I can help.

Yes, logic would tell you to score the bottom 1/8" smaller on one side so you can fit that top on without it buckling the bottom.
You can score both papers the same amount. Just make the bottom paper 1/8" smaler bevor scoring the paper. Great Video. Thank you for sharing.

Great tip! Thank you so much. love the circle tip..
Or just add 1/8 inches to one side bottom and top to the top section when you score so that it sits nicely onto the bottom.
